Lakme Fruit Moisture Strawberry Night Cream Review

Lakme Fruit Moisture Skin Renewal Night Cream with Strawberry,Kiwi and Passionfruit Review

Lakme Fruit Moisture Skin Renewal Night Cream with Strawberry,Kiwi and Passionfruit Review

What the Company claims: Fight Winter Dryness while you sleep with Lakmé Strawberry Night Crème
Wake up to youthful skin with this ultra-nourishing blend of juicy strawberries, 4 Hydrating Agents & 1 Anti-oxidant. Formulated with Nutritiv Moisture Technology, it works with your skin’s natural night-time revival process and implants your cells with moisture for 12-long hours. So when you wake up after a good night’s sleep, you skin will look nourished and youthful.

Ingredients:

  MRP: Rs.130/- for 50g

Its a pink colored thick cream with a very strong artificial strawberry scent. Though its thick it does gets absorbed into the skin in a few minutes. It keeps the skin supple and moisturised until the next morning but it does not do anything else. It has this new twisted Lakme packaging..but the only thing is the opening of the tub being narrow at the top..it becomes difficult to take the cream when its half over.

Pros:

1. Keeps skin supple and moisturised.
2. Gets absorbed within a few minutes.
3. Did not break me out.
4. Its more suitable for dry skin or in winters. I guess people with dry skin might like it more.
5. Economical..since the product lasts long.

Cons:

1. Tub packaging and narrow mouth makes it difficult to use when half over.
2. Strong artificial strawberry smell.
3. It does not do anything except keep the skin moisturised..and that even my normal moisturiser when used at night would do..I did not see any change in my skin at all.

Overall its an ok product. But my HG Himalaya Night Cream works more for me and I am quite happy with that.

Lakme Lip Love Lipstick Aphrodite Blush Review,Swatches, FOTD

Lakme Lip Love Lipstick Aphrodite Blush Review,Swatches,FOTD

What the Company claims:

MRP: Rs. 550/-

Lakme had launched their Lip Love lipsticks last December…these are by far the costliest lipsticks Lakme has..but are they worth it..read on..

They have this metallic red ‘love’ embossed packaging..even the lipstick bullet has LOVE written on it..:p But the packaging is quite sturdy and nice and not the usual Lakme..

They come in 12 shades and have both lighter and darker shades to choose from..They have SPF 16 and are super creamy and hydrating.

The shade Aphrodite Blush is a peachy brown shade..which goes from a light to dark as its quite buildable..it can look more on the brown side on a few..

And here is how it looks on me..

Pros:

1. These are quite pigmented..you need just a single swipe for the color which you can build up depending on how you like it.
2. Very creamy and moisturising.
3. Feel super light on lips.
4. I liked the packaging…and its quite sturdy too.
5. They do not have any particular taste and just a light scent.
6. SPF 16
7. These stay on for 2-3 hours on my lips which is fine.
8. These do not settle in my fine lines and do not accentuate them.

Cons:

1. Expensive…but these are quite good quality wise.
2. I would have liked more shades..in fact pinks and corals.

Otherwise no cons..I quite like them..and for the above question..yes these are totally worth it !

Rating:

Quality: 4.5/5
Value for money: 3.75/5

Overall Rating: 4/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..And I would recommend the shades Rose Kissed and Love Haze for everyday shades..Wine Whisper and Plum Pout if you like plums..

Lakme Fruit Moisture Peach Milk Moisturiser Review

New Lakme Fruit Moisture Peach Milk Moisturiser Review

What the Company claims:

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs. 79/- for 60ml, Rs. 139 for 120ml and Rs. 219 for 200ml

If you remember I had attended the New Fruit Moisture Range Launch. The three lotions and one day cream and night cream are similar to last year’s launch but this time they have been infused with a new Fruit Moisture technology and also have a different packaging.

The slightly curvy at the top bottle is very similar to the Nivea packaging.

Its a light pink colored thick lotion..but as you can see the first ingredient being Aqua it is indeed water based and quiet light and absorbs in a jiffy. It has a light fragrance which is a bit artificial kind…but it goes away in few seconds of application.

Pros:

1. Its quiet light and easy to absorb since its water based.
2. I liked this new packaging.
3. It gets absorbed in few seconds and keeps my skin moisturised for 9-10 hours..though my skin did not crave moisture for 12 hours too as claimed..but then I don’t have very dry skin nor do I live in a cold climate.
4. The small 60 ml bottle would be quite handy and easy to carry.
5. Economically priced.

Cons:

1. This would not be enough moisturising for dry skin through the day and not even if you live in a very cold climate.
2. Has parabens.
3. Its difficult to get the product out after its around half finished.

Overall its decent enough as a moisturiser and would work for you if you have normal skin. Dry skin would need to reapply it through the day.

Lakme Fruit Moisture Range Launch

I was invited to the Lakme Fruit Moisture Range Launch at Bandra..which included a wine tasting session, a supper theatre, their new Fruit Moisture Range Launch followed by dinner.
The host for the evening was Shuchitra Pillai. After the wine tasting session..(we tasted 5 wines…) the supper theatre started..which was named ‘Chewing gum’..it was quite a nice act.

The brand manager unveiled the new range then..

The contents of Peach,Strawberry,Avocado and Honey are all the same as in the previous range..but the formula looks better..and the packaging is different too..
Strawberry and Honey Chocolates
The whole range..

We did try out the products..and the range looks quite nice..and smells awesome too..lets hope it works nice too..

P.S: I would not be in town for 2-3 days but I have my posts scheduled 🙂

Lakme Lip Love Conditioner Review,Swatches

I had informed you guys about the new Lakme Lip Love Conditioner here before. The four shades that are available are Siren, Hottie, Charmer and Flirt.

What the Company claims: Try the new Lip Love Conditioner for smooth-to-touch lips and a super glossy color. It’s a gel-based lip softener that promises to pamper your pout with color and moisture. Lip Love Conditioner contains Shea butter and Jojoba oil to hydrate your lips while the SPF 12 protects your lips from the sun.
Lip Love Conditioner is extremely light-weight and is loaded with the goodness of Shea butter; Jojoba oil and high shine polymers.

v Priced at Rs.225/- for 3g
v Available in 4 shades
v Available at leading lifestyle stores

These are actually manufactured by Aero Pharma in Silvassa and only marketed by Lakme.

Flirt is a bright pinkish coral shade..
Charmer is an orangey coral
Siren is a reddish coral…the most pigmented of the lot
Hottie is a bright pink

Siren

Hottie

So there are 2 pinks and 2 corals..I am liking the fact that there are pinks and corals in this collection..!!

T- Hottie B- Siren

Its super creamy and has a gel like texture as claimed..these are super glossy..and have a nice sweet vanilla fragrance..they would be the most glossiest and pigmented lip balms till now..but as they are more of a lip conditioner than a lip balm..these would add moisture to your lips with the color..but would not heal your dry lips if you have them..

I liked the super cute heart packaging from the top and bottom too..and these are light and easy to carry..these would also be perfect for girls who are not fond of lipsticks or are in college yet..

Pros:

1. Loved all the four shades.
2. Pretty cute packaging.
3. Nice vanilla scent..though smell depends from person to person.
4. Travel friendly.
5. Shades like Siren stayed on for around 2 hours leaving behind a tint which was quite impressive it being a lip conditioner.
6. The quantity would last quiet long.
7. Has SPF 12.

Cons:

1. This would not heal your dry lips.
2. Tub packaging would make it difficult to use at the end.
3. No Ingredients are mentioned.
4. The color is not mentioned on the tub except with a sticker on the side…make sure you remove it and stick it on the bottom of the tub in case you would want to be aware of the shade name.

Overall..I quite liked them and found them pretty good for a lip conditioner.

Rating:

Quality: 3.5/5
Value for money: 3.5/5
Availability: 4/5

Overall Rating: 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..esp Siren

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.

Lakme Sun Expert SPF 30 PA+ For Oily Skin Review

Lakme Sun Expert SPF 30 PA+ For Oily Skin Review

The SPF 30 comes in two types..one for oily skin is PA+ and other for normal to dry skin is PA++
And also the variants available for oily skin are three and that in dry skin are two..plus the price is also higher for normal to dry skin.

It claims to be light and non oily..it has that pinkish tint coz of the kaolin clay present in it..

Ingredients:

Pros:

1. Gets absorbed completely into the skin.
2. Does not leave skin oily or greasy.
3. Did not break me out.
4. Has a nice refreshing cucumber and lemongrass smell.
5. Gives that cooling effect to the skin.
6. Moisturising enough for oily skin.
7. Does not leave a whitish cast and is very easy to blend in unlike the SPF 50 one.
8. Easy to carry around the 20 g tube in case you are out and need to apply sunscreen every 2 hours.

Cons:

1.  It provides SPF 30..which is good for daily use..but not for too much sun exposure.
2.  It would not make your skin lighter or correct past blemishes.
3. Dry skin people would need a moisturiser underneath.

Rating:

Quality: 4/5
Value for money : 3.5/5
Availability: 4/5

Overall Rating: 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes

I did like it overall…its quiet nice for oily skinned people…non greasy, no whitish cast and gets absorbed well and does not settle on skin.

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.
