Garnier Body Cocoon Review

December 30, 2010 By: Bhumika

Garnier Body Cocoon Review

I know many of you have tried it and I have got mixed reviews..some love it and it their HG and some hate it..well I found it to be somewhere in between.

Garnier Body Cocoon Review

What the Company claims :
Is this right for me ? Yes, if your skin feels dry, rough, flaky and tight, Garnier Body Cocoon moisturising lotion will soothe and restore the skin’s suppleness, leaving it feeling unbelievably soft.
How is it different ?
Its creamy yet light texture is instantly absorbed into the skin-enveloping it in a nourishing cocoon of softness, leaving it deliciously fragranced. Its moisturising formula blends selected natural ingredients.
Nutritive fruit oils from apricots, olives, blackcurrants and avocados to deliver an immediate burst of moisture to the skin.
Visible Results: Dry skin appears transformed Visibly smoother, Noticeably softer. Do not apply on the face.

Garnier Body products use wherever possible, active natural ingredients which have been carefully extracted to preserve their quality and purity.
Have been dermatologically tested to ensure respect to your skin.
Now this is a huge huge claim :p

Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Paraffinum Liquidum/Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Elaeis Guineensis/Palm Oil, Stearyl Heptanoate, Hexyldecanol, Olea Europaea/Olive Fruit Oil, Persea Gratissima/Avocado Oil, Prunus Armeniaca/Apricot Kernel Oil, Ribes Nigrum/Black Currant Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera/Grape Seed Oil, Carbomer, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Caprylate, Triethanolamine, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum/Fragrance, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

MRP: Rs 89/- for 125 ml and Rs 145/- for 250 ml (which was 75 and 130 before..why the increase in prices !!)

This is a thick white lotion..actually the texture is more like a cream and thats why takes ages for it to come out.
The smell is a bit different and weird but it faints in a few minutes and does not stay for long.

Garnier Body Cocoon Review

Pros:
1. It moisturises the skin well for my normal body skin.
2. Economical at Rs 89/-
3. Easy to carry around.
4. I like the packaging and the bright orange bottle.
5. Does not leave the skin greasy.

Cons:
1. Takes 5 mins to get absorbed into the skin properly.
2. Would not suit extra dry skin as they would need more moisturisation.
3. Claims are too high and it does not fulfill all.
4. I would expect more qty as this small bottle if used on hands and legs would not even stay for 2-3 weeks.

Rating:

Quality- 3.5/5
Value for money- 3/5
Availabilty- 5/5

Overall rating- 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..I quite liked it as it does suit my skin.

Have you used this ? Did you like it ?
