They also have brands like NYX, Shiseido, YSL and Elizabeth Arden in makeup and Zoya nail paints. And hair styling stuff from Philips and Tigi.

They offer free shipping above Rs. 400/- and Cash on Delivery with no extra charges. And they have Aramex for delivery which is quite fast. I received a call confirming the order the next day after I placed it. And it was shipped after confirmation and I received it the next day..so the whole process took just 2-2.5 days.

Here is what I ordered..

Chambor Black Dazzle Eye Pencil.

It had layers and layers of bubble wrap..and comes in a black rectangular box..inside which again there were layers of bubble wrap !

The only complaint I have is the Eye Pencil is December 2010 manufactured..so I guess they had old stock and it is very shaky at the centre from where it twists up..I don’t know if all Chambor Dazzle pencils are shaky or there is some problem with this one. And another thing is they have few products from NYX and Elizabeth Arden and certain other brands..so sometimes you may not be able to find something you want coz of the stock. And they offer mostly everything on the MRP..there should be more discounts I guess compared to the other sites..

But overall its a nice site..and I would surely like to buy Vichy and La Rosey Pochay, Zoya and Elizabeth Arden and other stuff from there..plus they have some pretty tempting daily deals..Currently they have a deal on Maybelline Colorsensational Lipsticks..you can get 2 lipsticks at Rs 499/- instead of Rs. 598/- using the code ‘PROMO0711’ till 13th November 2011..so if wanted to grab some Colorsensationals this is a very good offer…I would suggest My Mahagony, Autumn Rust,Crazy for Coffee..Check out their twitter for more tips and deals..

What the Company claims: Monave setting powders are a silky blend of the lightest minerals with just a touch of clay. Applied after foundation, the powders will aid in oil absorption, as well as add a smooth, matte, “finished” touch to your look. These powders can also be used as “face powders” for women who need very light coverage, used in place of foundation.

Recommended brush: flat-top bronzer.

Ingredients: Angel, Petal Pink, and Tawny: Serecite, iron oxides, kaolin clay,mica.

MRP : 12$ for 5g

It comes in four shades..Angel for light yellow tones, Petal for pink tones, Tawny for medium to dark tones and Translucent for all.

Angel is a medium yellow shade and good for warm undertones. I use a powder brush and blend it softly. Its super silky in texture and keeps skin matte for a decent 4-5 hours. I have combination skin and use it more on my T zone and it keeps it oil free.

Pros:

1. Its super soft and silky in texture.
2. Perfect for oily skin as it would keep their skin matte for 3-4 hours.
3. Since its tinted and available in 4 variants according to skin tones, it would not give you a whitish cast or anything.
4. Its economical and the quantity lasts a long time.
5. Has iron oxide which would give you some amount of sun protection too.
6. It does not give a caked up look and blends in nicely.

Cons:

I do not have any other problem with it..overall its a nice setting powder.

I am reviewing the shade Foxy Brown..its a reddish brown color..such color look nice especially on the lower lash line..they do not look harsh yet give a defined look to the eyes. Katrina Kaif generally uses a reddish brown liner on her lower lash line.

Its a retractable pencil with brown packaging and a golden cap. Its not very soft but not too hard too..kinda ok..similar to the Maybelline Unstoppable in texture. It does not glide on super easy and you might need 2-3 swipes for the color to show up properly especially on warm skin tones.

Pros:

1. Retractable pencil..you can see the quantity available.
2. Economically priced.
3. A soft shade for everyday use.
4. 10 colors to choose from…and are mostly browns..so if you are a fan of browns or want some exact brown which you not finding anywhere..you can check out these.

Cons:

1. Its not so soft and does not glide on easily.
2. Needs 2-3 swipes for the color to show up.
3. Not available everywhere. You can buy it here

Overall a decent pencil. And good for the price…but not super soft.I would like to try the darker shades in it like Wine or Blue.

Ingredients:

Its a pink colored thick cream with a very strong artificial strawberry scent. Though its thick it does gets absorbed into the skin in a few minutes. It keeps the skin supple and moisturised until the next morning but it does not do anything else. It has this new twisted Lakme packaging..but the only thing is the opening of the tub being narrow at the top..it becomes difficult to take the cream when its half over.

Pros:

1. Keeps skin supple and moisturised.
2. Gets absorbed within a few minutes.
3. Did not break me out.
4. Its more suitable for dry skin or in winters. I guess people with dry skin might like it more.
5. Economical..since the product lasts long.

Cons:

1. Tub packaging and narrow mouth makes it difficult to use when half over.
2. Strong artificial strawberry smell.
3. It does not do anything except keep the skin moisturised..and that even my normal moisturiser when used at night would do..I did not see any change in my skin at all.

Overall its an ok product. But my HG Himalaya Night Cream works more for me and I am quite happy with that.

I am amazed at this intricate detailed work and everytime I see it I am even more amazed..as to how can one do such minute detailed work..is’nt that awesome.

Its ‘I Love You’ in 120 languages ! And the English one is clearly visible at the right corner. I also found Ich Lieb Dich in German, Je T’aime in French, Te Amo..I guess Spanish and our very own Hindi..मैं तुमसे प्यार करता हु.

They also have a very pretty design at the sides. I like the silver finish more than the gold.

I liked the pink stone and the thin curb chain..It comes with a small keychain which has a magnifying glass attached to it..with which we can see the line in 120 languages..

Johnsons Ph 5.5 Nourishing Body Wash with Honey…with the name you know it would have a nice warm honey smell. And as its Ph Balancing Body wash its neither too drying nor does it leave a film on the skin..leaves my skin soft,clean and moisturised..just as I prefer…its my HG Body Wash.

Its a white runny lotion..has a nice warm scent to it..comes in a pump dispensor packaging. This one is made in Malaysia and I had got it from Alfa..so I am not very sure of it being available here locally.

Pros:

1. Leaves skin soft and moisturised.
2. Foams nicely.
3. You just need 1-2 pumps for the whole body. And since it comes in this huge 750 ml bottle it would easily last you 7-8 months.
4. Economical.
5. Has the benefits of oats,glycerin and honey.
6. Of all the body washes I have used till now..I love this one and hence its my Holy Grail.
7. Its 100% soap free.
8. Ph 5.5 Balanced..hence it would adjust to the normal Ph of skin and keep it balanced.

Cons:

1. Has SLS.
2. Not travel friendly as its a huge bottle.
3. Availability is an issue. I am not aware if its available locally.

Overall I am in love with this body wash and Ya I only use this and from last so many months…This is still going strong. I guess I am going to use this forever.

Lotus Herbals Moist Petals Lipstick Red Rover Swatches


I have already reviewed the Lotus Herbals Moist Petals Lipstick here. I had the shade Maroon Melody. Then I quite liked the formula and got two more..in Rose Petal and Natural Haze.

The shade I am reviewing today is 112 Red Rover which is a part of their Festive Glam collection having 5 other new shades.

It looks like an orange based red in the tube..but its not as dark until layered up. A single swipe gives a hint of pinkish red tint on the lips.

In Sunlight

It does have some shimmer but its not much visible on application. The staying power is decent if worn as a full color and it leaves behind a tint but it does transfer like all lip colors.

But these are quite moisturising and you can skip a lip balm with this one.

Overall a nice red for those who are scared of reds or want to try reds..you can start with this..and even use it as a tint if you do not want a darker color.
