Maybelline Unstoppable Eye Liner Review,Espresso Swatch

February 26, 2011 By: Bhumika

Maybelline Unstoppable Eye Liner Review,Espresso Swatches

I got the Maybelline Unstoppable liner is espresso..its a chocolate brown color…and in a twist up form.

What the Company claims:

  • Smudge-proof, stay-put, waterproof formula won’t budge until you want it to.
  • Self-sharpening packaging swivels up and down so point is always sharp and ready to define.
  • Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers, ophthalmologist-tested.
Directions for use : Apply along your lash line from the inner to the outer corners. Removes easily with Expert Eyes® Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover.
MRP: Rs. 230/- for the brown (espresso) one and 240/- for the black (onyx) one. And the site shows 4 more colors..jade, sapphire, pewter, cinnabar. I don’t know why the difference in prices.

Pros:
1. The color is a pretty brown..and perfect for days when you dont want to use the same old black 😉
2. It stays put for quiet a long time…around 6-7 hours on the upper lashline and 4-5 hours on lower lashline too.
3. Its waterline safe and does not irritate eyes at all.
4. Its a mechanical pencil…so sharpening it properly would be a problem..but you can see the amount of product     you get…I love twist up pencils for that.
5. Economical.
6. The cap is brown so you can see the color.
7. Does not smudge much.
8. A thick line and bit of smudging with fingers gives a nice smokey effect.
9. Perfect base for brown eye makeup.
Cons:
1.Its not very smooth and does not glide on easily..it tugs a bit.
2. People who prefer pencils as they like to sharp it for hygienic reasons may not prefer it.
Rating:
Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money: 3.5/5
Availability: 4/5
Overall rating: 3.75/5
Would I buy it again: This is gonna stay long..so I am not very sure…plus I wanna try Lakme 9 to 5 next.
Have you got the Unstoppable ??

Even I had seen these at the store. Is there a purple shade? ‘Not smooth’ is a slight turn off though. But its cheap so can be tried..

Hi Bhumika, just wanted to let you know about the silk thread bangles. You will need plain plastic bangles as the base. Then take 2 colours of silk thread. Eg red & white. You will need 10 strands of thread – 6 red and 4 white. Cut each strand into an arm’s length. Then hold the strands together & using fevicol, stick it onto the inside of the plastic bangle. Then slowly wind it around the entire bangle, again using fevicol to stick it in the end. Once you make it a couple of times, you will know if an arm’s length is enough for you or not. I need more than that. If it’s not enough, then cut some more & repeat the same process. Then for the next bangle, you can cut much longer thread in the beginning itself.

You don’t have to use 2 different colours, you can use just 1 or even 3. But in my opinion, 2 shades look the best. Also the ratio of 6:4 threads is the best(IMO). Let me know if you need any clarifications. Also, if you use cotton thread, you will need fevibond as fevicol won’t work. Hope all this helps. Phew!!
