Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser Review

August 11, 2011 By: Bhumika

Liz Earle Moisturiser comes third in step after the Cleanse and Polish Cleanser and Instant Boost Skin Tonic . Even this as the cleanser is an award winning moisturiser.

What the Company claims: Light and gentle, this easily absorbed moisturising lotion is ideal for combination, oily or problem skin.

This finely balanced blend of naturally active skin-conditioning ingredients includes borage oil (a rich source of the essential fatty acid GLA), echinacea, hops, avocado oil, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) and natural antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamin E to replace lost moisture and help protect your skin, leaving it soft and smooth with a naturally healthy glow.

Massage into face and neck, morning and night, after Instant Boost Skin Tonic.

Includes borage and avocado to lightly moisturise and balance the skin.

Suitable for combination/oily skin

Directions for use: Gently massage Skin Repair Light into face and neck morning and night after Instant Boost Skin Tonic.

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Coco-caprylate/ caprate, Cetyl alcohol, Persea gratissima (avocado) oil, Glycerin, Borago officinalis (borage) seed oil, Polyglyceryl-3-methylglucose distearate, Cetyl esters, Sodium lactate, Echinacea purpurea (echinacea) extract, Triticum vulgare (wheat) germ oil, Humulus lupulus (hops) extract, Panthenol, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Tocopheryl acetate, Beta-carotene, Cetearyl glucoside, Parfum (fragrance), Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Xanthan gum, Lactic acid, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl biguanide.

MRP: 17.60 GBP for 50ml

Its an off white light textured lotion with a very pleasant fresh smell. It comes in a pump packaging which dispenses very little qty..2 pumps are perfect and enough for the whole face. It gets completely absorbed and is totally light weight and non greasy…you would not feel as though you have applied any moisturiser.

Pros:

1. Very very light weight and non greasy…perfect for oily combination skin.
2. Does not leave any shine on skin.
3. Has a pleasant light smell.
4. Pump packaging is easy to use and carry around.
5. Perfect blend of ingredients.
6. No parabens.
7. Against animal testing.

Cons:

1. Its expensive..but it lasts quiet long as very less qty is required..so overall it balances out.
2. Availability is an issue..can be bought online only.

Overall I quite like it. Its one of the best moisturisers for oily/combination skin.

Rating:

Quality: 5/5
Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 3.5/5

Overall Rating: 4/5

Would I buy it again: Yes

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.
