OOTD: Gray Fuchsia Glitter Saree (Imaginary Red Carpet ?)

OOTD: Gray Fuchsia Glitter Saree (Imaginary Red Carpet ?)

Hey everyone,

I am back with an OOTD..this time a saree! I have done one in an yellow saree long back HERE.

OOTD: Gray Fuchsia Glitter Saree

This time its a beautiful gray and fuchsia pink saree with a heavy glitter border..this is so perfect for parties, receptions,etc..

Its from TriveniSarees.com. They have an amazing collection of sarees, salwar kameez, lehengas and even jewellery and accessories. They have also brought a few designers on board..so you see designer wear too..and not only that, you have mens wear, kids wear and bed linen too..its like a one stop shop..good for brides too..perfect trousseau shopping place..this saree is also going to be a part of my trousseau. They also have plain brocade and digital print material which they sell per metre. They do the fall edging of the saree for free..and you can buy a standard cotton petticoat along for Rs.150 extra and get the blouse stitched for Rs.600 extra. And if you are the types who have difficulty wearing a saree, you can get the saree prestitched and the stitched blouse both for Rs.1000 extra. You just need to slip into the saree 😀 Cool, is’nt it ?

And the blouse is a normal silver one..which I got designed by my tailor..the design turned out good but not the fit :/ :Sigh: These tailors!

I paired it with silver mesh earrings and a simple gold and silver kada any my Titan Raga watch..And and my hot pink Valentino dupes!! OMG I can’t describe how high the heel is..killing feet literally..how do models walk in them is a big mystery to me! :/

Coming to the makeup, I used the new L’oreal Paris L’Or Lumiere Collection (read HERE) which consists of new Gel Matic Eye Pencils and Moist Mat Lipsticks. I have used the Gel Matic in Turbo Turquoise (other 4 shades in this range are Deep Brown, Silver Mania, Glamor Gold and Blue Force) and the Moist Mat Lipstick in Flaming Kiss here (Lincoln Rose, Glamour Fuchsia and Raspberry Syrup are my other favorites from this range..supposedly Aishwarya Rai wore Lincoln Rose with her first golden Roberto Cavalli gown at the Cannes 2014).

The Gel Matic Pencil in Turbo Turquoise is quite a nice vibrant turquoise shade..and glides on smooth too, was very easy to apply and it stayed put on the upper lashline throughout the day and was difficult to remove too..but does not stay long on the waterline.

Moist Mat Lipstick in Flaming Kiss is a reddish orange..not too ‘in your face’ kinda bright..but very wearable one..I loved it! Its super pigmented and goes full out in one swipe. Though it stays 3-4 hours and with eating and drinking about 2 hours. But, easy to reapply,no patchiness or dry lines.

I used a satin taupe eyeshadow on the eyes and lined my upper lashline and half the lower lashline with the Gel Matic in Turquoise and the Flaming Kiss Lipstick.

Please excuse my hair..I know they look weird here :/

Sorry for the changes in lighting..the sun was dancing..and also if you feel my foundation is lighter, let me tell you its not. My neck and body and slightly face too have turned darker..I got badly tanned..and 4 shades darker at the Beauty and the Blogger show..and trying to get rid of the tan..but I guess it would take some time..

Saree: Triveni Sarees
Heels: HERE
Earrings : Ayesha Accessories
Watch: Titan Raga

How did you like the look ? Not that I would wear this for a real red carpet! :p But anyhoo 😀 Do let me know in the comments below 🙂

L’oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipsticks Review, Swatches

L’oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipsticks Mauve Cherie and Irrestible Espresso Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: The Rouge Caresse lipstick has a flutter of kissable, soft, colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a luminous shine. It adds a desired pop of color with a meltingly soft application. The lipstick contains light oils, crystalline wax, transparent blenders and pearl pigments that deliver true color with a weight-less comfort.

MRP: Rs.499/- for 2.5g

Shades Available: 10

  • Mauve Cherie
  • Cheeky Magenta
  • Sweet Berry
  • Dating Coral
  • Hypnotic Red
  • Impulsive Fuchsia
  • Irresistible Espresso
  • Rock N Mauve
  • Rose Mademoiselle
  • Aphrodite Scarlet

First of, I love the packaging..the gold L’oreal Paris panel at the centre..where it shut clicks..and the transparent outer..looks nice..it has a sweet fruity smell but not too overpowering..

There are reds, corals, mauves and browns in this range.

It has this super glossy sheen to it..and the color in the tube looks like so bright but when you apply them, they are just like glosses..goes smooth and gives that shine and colour..

They are quite moisturising too and easy to apply..you don’t even need a mirror with these lipsticks 😀

They stay for around 2 hours without eating/drinking..staying power is the only issue with these..but then you can easily reapply..super easy to touch up as I mentioned before..it leaves behind a soft stain which stays for another 1-2 hours.

L- Mauve Cherie, R- Irrestible Espresso

102 Mauve Cherie is a true mauve shade.

602 Irresistible Espresso looks brown in the tube..but its quite a wearable glossy milky brown..good for office wear.

T- Irrestible Espresso, B- Mauve Cherie

And here are they on me..

L- Mauve Cherie, R- Irrestible Espresso

Pros:

1. Lip gloss in lipstick form.

2. Moisturising.

3. Wearable colors..there is one for everyone..reds,corals,pinks,mauves,browns.

4. Very glossy.

5. Easy to apply and for touch ups.

6. Chic packaging.

7. Economical.

8. Feels light on the lips.

Cons:

1. Transfers.

2. Staying power is not so good.

Overall, I would say, these are good for daily use..when you need a light wash of color with the sheen..or even for your formal everyday wear..and something you don’t mind touching up. But not for days when you need full impact color or long staying pigmented lipstick. Not a must have but worth a try.

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Oil, Shampoo and Conditioner Review

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil, Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Hey everyone,

With tons and tons of new shampoos coming up (pun intended), its difficult to catch up with all and review all. I tried the Sunsilk Natural Recharge at first..and then this L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish which I was using from quiet some time..and now shifting to the TRESemme Split Remedy.

For now, I have been using the combination of these three..so lets review them today.

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil: The Extraordinary Oil has been scientifically created to give your hair the nourishment it truly deserves with three traditional oils and three exotic oils providing 6 specific benefits. It has no heavy feel or greasy look. Almond Oil –Makes your hair Thick, Coconut Oil – Makes your hair Manageable, Argan Oil –Gives your hair Strength, Jojoba Oil –Gives you Shiny hair, Olive Oil – Makes your hair Soft, Camelina Oil –Smoothens your hair

The first hair oil that is powered by 6 Micro Oils in a unique formula to provide 6 specific benefits. The Research & Innovation Centre at L’Oréal Paris in India have created perfectly balanced oil that that makes your hair look healthy and beautiful with a spectacular shine with every use.

6 oils-

  • Argan
  • Olive
  • Almond
  • Coconut
  • Jojoba
  • Camelina

6 benefits-

  • Strong
  • Soft
  • Smooth
  • Thick
  • Shiny
  • Manageable

Application: Apply on hair and scalp and gently massage before washing off. Can also be applied as a finishing touch.

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.199/- for 100ml (Buy on Flipkart here)

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo: The 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo has been created to provide complete nourishment to your hair from root to tip with 6 Micro Oils™making it soft, shiny, thick, strong, smooth and manageable.

Application : Massage gently into wet scalp/hair, lather and rinse for soft, nourished and healthy hair. Apply twice if required.

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.69/- for 75ml, Rs.138/- for 175 ml, Rs.235/- for 360ml (Buy on Flipkart here)

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner: The 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner, a first of its kind from L’Oréal Paris, can be used on the scalp. This conditioner provides complete nourishment to your hair giving it the 6 benefits of the Oils used.

Application: Post shampooing, gently massage this conditioner on your scalp and hair and leave it on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing.

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.80/- for 65ml, Rs.150/- for 175 ml (Buy on Flipkart here)

Starting with the Extraordinary Oil, it has a strong artificial smell..comes in a glass bottle..you need to be careful with this one..and the dispensor takes its own time for the oil to come out :/

Its quiet light in texture and never gave that chipku look..gets absorbed well..hair does not feel greasy or heavy..and it was easy to wash off too..did not require multiple washes..

I am not a fan of using it post washing as a serum..its slightly heavy to be used as a serum and may weigh down the hair.

Except for the fact that it has mineral oil and that too 68% :/ Mineral oil is not entirely bad for the hair..if you have curly hair, then it works for you all the more..what is does is, it forms a film on the hair..means it prevents moisture from going in..but its two way..so in a way it helps in controlling frizz but also prevents other useful products to reach the hair..but actually it also has some benefits and I would not discard a product if it has mineral oil..the question remains..how much qty of mineral oil is used in the product ! I also read that mineral oil should not be used on dry hair as it locks the dryness and dries them over..but it has worked for some and not for some..there are mixed opinions. I did not face much of an issue with this one.

Overall I would say I would have preferred lesser mineral oil..I mean 68% is quiet a lot !

Coming to the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner. I have tried these oils in hair range before..with the Dove Nourishing Oil Range and Sunsilk Radiant Shine Range..both of which I loved ! So, the hair range with oils have always worked for me..

Does this one too ? Lets find out.

These have a yellow colored packaging and both are golden yellow in color..the shampoo has tiny shimmer which reflects. I love the amazing smell.

Shampoo is the perfect texture..not too watery..lathers amazingly well, washes off easily..and leaves hair smooth and detangled..

Conditioner is rich and creamy and coats hair well and leaves hair hydrated and moisturised.

I only felt that conditioner if used slightly more, can weigh down normal to oily hair since its a little rich.

Also, they claim that this conditioner can be used directly on the scalp..I did not try it and would not recommend it too..after all its a conditioner !

Though the shampoo does have SLS and conditioner, the silicones.

The range gave me shiny, smooth, detangled hair but weighed hair down sometimes..especially when all three used together since I have normal hair..It would work amazingly well for dry hair.

Overall, I would say this range is amazing for dry hair..and normal hair can work it too but carefully..but I would not recommend it for oily hair.

L’oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color Review, Swatches

L’oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color Eve, Pretty Woman Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: The next generation lip colour, that combines the texture & shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain. Delivering a lasting colour with a subtle glossy shine. The unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6hr hydration. Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.

MRP: Rs.499/- for 6ml

Shades Available:

  • Eve
  • Milady
  • Faye
  • Juliette
  • Pretty Woman
  • Lolita
  • Bella

Ingredients:

L’oreal Paris Shine Caresse come in this beautiful sleek gold packaging with L’oreal Paris on one side..and a see through in between to see the shade..if you have more than one of these..so no confusion there.

These look like a gloss but are more of a stain..are pretty pigmented..and once set on the lips..these do not budge..the glossiness wears off after 1-2 hours..and these stay for 3-4 hours leaving behind a deep stain which stays like much longer..and needs to be removed with a makeup remover.

They have a doe foot applicator…and its quite easy to use..only issue is..they have a little weird smell..and the lighter shades like Pretty Woman would not cover pigmented lips and stay for a lesser time..

L’oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Colors are supposedly YSL Glossy Stain Dupes ! I have not tried YSL ones, so cannot compare..if any of you have tried both..please share the differences you notice, if any.

605 Eve is a fuchsia pink with fine silver shimmer..brightens face instantly.

900 Pretty Woman is a rosy milky brown..an MLBB shade.

Here are the lip colors on me..

Pretty Woman
Eve

Pros:

1. Pretty packaging.

2. Economical.

3. Pretty pigmented and stay for 3-4 hours and stain much longer.

4. Has an easy to use doe foot applicator.

5. Feels quite light on lips.

6. Available in 7 pretty wearable shades.

Cons:

1. Have a weird smell.

2. Lighter colors might not show up on pigmented lips and stay a little lesser time.

Overall, I love these..the idea of a gloss cum stain..it being so light weight, pigmented and long staying..they do what they claim..and are economically priced too for a quantity of 6ml..both these shades are wearable and nice..I like the shades Lolita and Juliette too.

Shades Available:

  • 912 Peach Pleasure
  • 909 Pomegranate Punch

MRP: Rs.400/- for 2.5g

Another lip crayon..no its not a recent one..as you all know..but I had not tried it before..it comes in 5-6 shades but only these 4 are available everywhere.

Comes in a normal swivel up packaging…and has matching outer body to the shades..

Its super glossy and balmy as the name goes..has a slight fruity smell.

Pomegranate Punch is the brightest and juiciest of all four shades..its a reddish pink..with some fine shimmer.

It stays on for 2-3 hours..the shine fades in an hour or so..but the color stays..and leaves a tint behind.

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Nice packaging,

2. Easy to carry around.

3. Super glossy and moisturising..no need of a lip gloss or lip balm with this.

4. Quite pigmented.

5. Stays for 2-3 hours and leaves behind a tint.

6. Most reasonably priced lip crayon in the market.

Cons:

1. I would have loved more shades in this.

2. I wish it was sans shimmer.

Overall, its a nice buy..value for money..this shade Pomegranate Punch is the brightest and would look good on all skin tones..Recommend it !

L’oreal Paris Kajal Magique Review, Swatches

L’oreal Paris Kajal Magique Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Line your eyes with a stroke of sheer magic
L’Oréal Paris launches Kajal Magique – the first ever Kajal from the brand

You can speak volumes with your eyes and the best way to highlight them is with the ever-favorite kajal. L’Oréal Paris, the world’s #1 beauty brand launches Kajal Magique, its first ever Kajal in India. L’Oréal Paris as a brand is known to create products that match the needs of the contemporary Indian women, and this kajal is the perfect tool to craft gorgeous eye looks. So go bold, smoky, or let creativity take over your eyes.

L’Oréal Paris Kajal Magique is supremely black and doubles up as a darker-than-night eyeliner. It is powered with a new generation formula and mineral pigments for a deep intense color payoff. Along with providing a great finish, it is also enriched with ingredients like Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil Esters and Vitamin C Derivative, which provide extraordinary care and a soothing feeling to the eyes. Since it is ophthalmologically tested, it is safe and suitable for contact lens wearers. Designed to last for up to 12 hours, Kajal Magique is smudge proof, waterproof and non-transferable.

The product is priced at Rs. 245 (for 0.35g) and is available across all L’Oréal Paris boutiques and counters.

L’oreal Paris has launched its first ever Kajal in India..a tough competition from the already existing Maybelline Colossal Kajal and Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in the market.. Both Lakme and Maybelline are 0.35g. Lakme has also launched 5 new shades in the Eyeconic range.

So how does this L’oreal Paris Kajal Magique fare ? Read on..

First of all, I loved the black and fuchsia packaging..quite a combo..It has the same swivel up mechanism..has the same qty..and is equally travel friendly as others..

Coming to the pigmentation..its not the darkest black in one swipe per se..but when you layer it on your waterline…its gets quite intense and dark..

Thats the whole quantity
About the staying power, it is quite long lasting indeed ! No kajal stays on my waterline for long..but this one did..on my waterline it stays for a good 5-6 hours..and then fades a little but does not go away completely..and on my upper lashline..it stayed the whole day..10+ hours.

Pros:

1. Nice packaging.
2. Travel friendly.
3. Is quite smooth and glides on well.
4. Does not smudge or give raccoon eyes.
5. Staying power is amazing..both on the waterline and on the upper lashline.
6, Works well as an eyeliner.

Cons:

1. Finishes up soon..as you need to layer it for more intensity..this finishes up pretty soon.
2. Does not stay for 12 hours as claimed and not completely water proof.

Overall, I would say its pretty nice in terms of staying power..and if it was more deeper jet black, it would have been the best kajal in town..but since it needs to be layered for that intensity, it finishes up quicker too..and also its priced a little higher than the counterparts..

But if you want a long staying kajal, then I highly recommend this !
