What the Company claims :

It is supposed to be Anti Cernes i.e Anti Wrinkles concealer..It comes in 6 shades from Lighter than Light to Medium/Dark.

I have the Medium in this which is perfect for my skin tone..so Medium would suit NC 35-37 and Mid Medium which is the second last would suit NC 40-42.

It comes with a white sponge which does help in blending it out..but it does not have a separate compartment to be kept and I do not keep it on the product as it comes..I don’t think thats hygienic to do..and I mostly use my fingers or sometimes a brush to blend it out.


Its very creamy but needs to be warmed up a little before applying..especially for the under eyes. Its very very opaque and just a little product is needed. More then the under eyes I feel this product is perfect for spot concealing. The best thing about this is its staying power. I have used this in extreme hot and humid climate and it stays put the whole day !

Pros:

1. Very opaque and gives complete coverage.
2. Does not transfer on tissues or anything.
3. Stays put the whole day !
4. Perfect for spot concealing.
5. Has some nice ingredients and they claim it can be worn before going to bed too..well that is not something I would do..
6. Economical for the quantity..this is going to last super long.

Cons:

1. Tub packaging.
2. Dry skin people might find it a little drying under eyes..they would need to use an eye cream.
3. Might settle in fine lines for a few..I did not face this problem.
4. Available online.

Overall I am in love with this product..though I am not sure people who prefer liquid concealers would like this..but those who require an opaque concealer for spot concealing..should surely try this out.

For comparision..this cost 18$ for 7.5g whereas MAC Studio Finish cost 17$ for 7g which is near about the same..and Studio Sculpt is 17$ for 5.5g

People in India can check this out on Strawberry.net..it is sometimes available at a much lesser price..but the availability is in itself very variable.

Now I had read so many mixed reviews about it..working wonderfully for some and some people got rashes all over their face with it and had to get a medical treatment. I guess it does not suit sensitive skin. I was so skeptical of trying this at first. But went ahead anyways.

I had the small sample size of it which I am using from the last 9-10 days. I use it every night before sleeping coz the skin absorbs the best at that time. It claims to show visible results in 7 days and that skin would be more radiant, soft and even toned. If I had to review it in few words I would say it did not work for me !

I did not see any change in my skin at all..which was not something I expected after hearing all the tall claims. But yes I did read some reviews where it did nothing at all for people and I guess I am amongst them too.

It does hydrate skin and as its in liquid format it would suit oily skin too.

But spending so much and seeing no change is not what I would prefer. Its a pass for me. I have heard better things about the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I would like to try that.

This unique gel-cream texture leaves the eye contour velvety to the touch. Dark circles and signs of fatigue appear to diminish. The eye area appears fresher and luminous, as if infused with life.

Ingredients:

Its a cream colored light gel cream formula. You just need a little bit for the eyes and I use the ring finger (with the slightest pressure) to just spread it around. Now I do not have too much of dark circles problem but this did make eyes brighter and fresher the next morning. The skin around the eyes was soft to touch. Agree with the claims here.

Genefique Yeux Eye Concentrate did work for me. But since its expensive I do not know if this is something to be used always..well you should if you can afford. But soon to be brides who have a dark circles or tired eyes problems should surely give this a try !

So overall Genefique did not work for me but Genefique Yeux did !

P.S: This is my experience with the product on using it 10 days. Results may vary depending on more usage or skin type.

Ingredients:

I have too many of pinks..so peach is something I was eyeing as it would be different..And presently loving all peaches and corals..! But even this turned out to be more of a peachy pink on me..guess pinks wont leave me :p

Its a clear balm which changes color on your lips according to your body temperature.

The whole product…only this much qty and its thin too..:/

I love how it moisturises my lips and stays long, gives a nice peachy pink tint and keeps my lips soft..

Looks almost clear on hand

These are manufactured in Thailand.

Pros:

1. It does not feel waxy but at the same time moisturises my lips well and keeps them soft through the day.
2. I liked the soft peachy pink tint it gives my lips but then again would appear different on different people.
3. This can be layered to get the desired intensity of color.
4. The tint stays for a decent long time.
5. Economical at Rs.99/-
6. Available everywhere easily.
7. It has some nice oils and butters as seen in Ingredients and does not have parabens ! Still its shelf life is 2.5 years.

Cons:

1. The quantity is too less and with regular usage I guess this would last just a month.

No other cons..I am in love with this ! They should come up with more colors in this like a coral, orange, plum,etc..I think everyone should try this atleast one..its fun knowing what color it gives to our lips..

One can even get a magnetic makeup compact in which all individual eyeshadows and blushers can be kept together..which is very similar to a Z palette.

As Queen Cosmetics is meant for sensitive skin its very safe to use for all including contact lens wearers.

T-B: Chocolate Brown, Olive Green, Lilac, Beige, Old Rose

All the eye shadows are plain and matte.Good for everyday use and for blending other shimmery shades too. Nude/beige would help even out the eye lids and Chocolate Brown would help create a crease. A lilac eye shadow would help open up eyes. Old Rose would also be a nice everyday shade.

Pros:

1. Would suit sensitive skin and sensitive eyes.
2. Matte shades..good for everyday use.
3. These shades would also help in blending out other shimmery colors.
4. Come in individual pans but easy to carry with the magnetic palette.
5. They do not crease much.

Cons:

1. Not pigmented..especially the lighter shades..one needs many swipes for the color to show up.
2. Little powdery.
3. Only available online.
4. Staying power is ok..do not stay long.

Overall these are ok..but except the Chocolate shade..rest lighter shades are not pigmented enough.

Tommy Hilfiger Autumn Winter 2011 Collection- Review

I had mentioned about the new collection of Tommy Hilfiger with pictures of selected pieces here. I got a chance to review the collection at their flagship store in Mumbai.

Warning..Pic heavy ! :/

It has three floors..the basement catering to children wear, main floor having mens collection and the first floor having womens collection and the denim wear.

I loved the ambience of the store..it was all American preppy kind..and each section had things related to them..like toys in children section and girly stuff in the womens section..

Mens collection for Fall had checkered shirts,jackets, sweaters and knit wear..and their trade mark Polos in all different colors which come up according to season..like darker colors for winter and lighter for summers.

They have come up with a all new formal range for men..which is new array for Tommy Hilfiger as they are always known as a Casuals brand.

The childrens section..

Are’nt those small leggings super cute..

The Womens section had dresses,casual tees,knit shrugs,warm sweaters in different colors..but since they were meant for the Mumbai store..they are made from 100% cotton and not that thick as there is hardly any ‘winter’ in Mumbai..

Some of my picks..

Overall I loved the warm,knit wear dark hued collection..urban,preppy and smart ! A nice experience..Thanks to Tommy Hilfiger India..:)

Foods are very important for the skin. Some types of foods actually feed the skin too. We use all sorts of creams and lotions on our skin externally but it is extremely important for the skin to be healthy and glowing internally, and for that we need to take care of it from within too, feeding it with the right stuff. I, being a Vegetarian always had some problems as eggs and sea food were out of the list already.
