Marriages Made in Heaven ?

I wanted to participate in the Indiblogger contest..and then totally forgot about it..fortunately it is still accepting entries..

Well actually this is one topic which can be debated endlessly..and you always have people who are in support of either..all of us would be having friends who are in support of love marriages and some who are in support of arranged marriages..and I have even seen some convert with due time 😀

And there are some neutrals who are ok with either.. :p

Coming to the marriages made in heaven thing, do you ever think how would all that have been done ? Like destiny and all..you actually believe that love and arranged all couples are made in heaven ? Or its all written ? It sometimes makes me ponder..but then at the end, are’nt we all made to believe that we are in a particular situation right now coz its already written or pre destined..and at the end whatever happens, is for the good..and most of the people in India even adjust and wait whole their life, for that good ?!

Arranged marriages are seen a lot in a country like India, though the western countries have hardly a few of those..coz its a gamble, deciding on your life partner after meeting once or twice or talking an hour ?! I mean whats the guarantee that the person is actually like that in real life, one can just act up too..ya the family and all might be decent as found out my parents and relatives..but I find it to be a big time gamble..I guess the people in older generations did not mind..but now a days more and more people want to be with someone they already know or can rely on..nah not that arranged marriages do not work that way, you do get time to know each other till the marriage, but you cannot back out later without a good enough reason that is, which as per the elders cannot be ‘compromised’ on..

But ya I have seen good and bad cases of both, frankly good cases of arranged ones..may be coz the mental preparation of compromise is always there on their minds or later they adjust..I really dunno..

Also at times, people catch up the examples around them and keep relating to them, and if they are bad of either case, they feel those type of marriages do not last and feel kinda against them..

I do see the soap on Sony ‘Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage’ and how totally opposite the two best friends Mansi and Shivani are and even separated coz of their misunderstanding and finally get to see each other..
