Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser Review

August 16, 2011 By: Bhumika

What the Company claims: This rich, luxurious, fragrance-free moisturiser for mature or very dry skin contains a powerful blend of high quality naturally active ingredients to smooth, plump and replenish for healthy, rejuvenated-looking skin.

Containing high levels of GLA and rich in omega-3, Superskin Moisturiser helps prevent moisture loss and improves skin elasticity, while pomegranate fruit extract and natural source vitamin E, both rich in antioxidants, help protect from environmental damage.

Apply Superskin Moisturiser to face, neck and décolletage morning and night as part of your essential daily skincare regime.

Naturally active ingredients include precious cranberry, borage and rosehip seed oils.

Suitable for mature/very dry skin

Directions for use: For optimal results follow the specific facial massage techniques provided, to help clear toxins, reduce puffiness, boost circulation, encourage cell renewal and aid lymphatic drainage:

Step 1: Apply to face with upward and outward movements using firm pressure.

Step 2: With your fingertips, lightly smooth in an outward circular direction along the cheekbones to above the eyebrows.

Step 3: Using the thumb and ring finger gently pinch along the brow bone from the nose to the outer edge of the brow.

Step 4: Finish by gently sweeping your hands up the neck and over the décolletage.

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) seed oil, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl stearate, Rosa rubiginosa (rosehip) seed oil, Dicapryl carbonate, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Borago officinalis (borage) seed oil, Cetearyl alcohol, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Glyceryl stearate, Pentaerythrityl distearate, Punica granatum (pomegranate) fruit extract, Xanthan gum, Sodium stearoylglutamate, Sodium polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl biguanide

MRP: 33.20 GBP for 50ml jar, 12.25 GBP for 15ml jar

This product has won three awards..and seeing the 104 reviews..all amazing on the site for this, I am not surprised. Though this product is meant for dry or mature skin..I did give it a try and am glad..

It comes in a small plastic jar..the outer carton of it is designed beautifully. This cream is a little thick as its meant for dry skin..but its perfect for your facial massages !! I use this as a night cream and for massages..it comes with pictures and instructions as to how you can massage. It does not have any smell as its fragrance free and is a little yellowish in color. Its more of a winter cream.

Pros:

1. Has cranberry oil, borage oil, roseship oil, shea butter, pomegranate extract and Vitamin E..the best ingredients possible for the skin.
2. Its a perfect facial massage cream.
3. Can be used as a night cream..leaves skin soft and plumped the next day.
4. No parabens.
5. Against animal testing.
6. Multiple award winners.

Cons:

1. This only has jar packaging..not a pump one unlike others.
2. Very expensive.
3. Availability is an issue..you need to order online.

Overall I love using it as a night cream and once a week massage cream..it leaves my skin super nourished.

Rating:

Quality: 5/5
 Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 3.5/5

Overall Rating: 4/5

Would I buy it again: Yes if I finish this..it does last real long.

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.
