EOS Max Pure Gray Lenses Review

August 8, 2011 By: Bhumika

These are gray circle lenses…Now I do wear normal contacts from the last 6-7 years and I also tried the colored ones once..but those were not with power and that was long back..so when I was asked to review them by Lensvillage I was a little wary as I did not know if they would suit my eyes and stuff…and then thought why not give a try…coz I do love colored lenses..

Then again I got confused with so many options..and its like you would not be able to guess which would suit you or how would the color look on you…but I was sure that I wanted something Natural looking and not ‘ look I am wearing lenses’ kind..!

So I thought of gray lenses..and selected these..right now these are also one of their top sellers..both gray and brown.

Product description:

Diameter : 14mm
Base Curve : 8.60mm
Water Content : 38~42%
Life Span : 1 Year
Expiry Date : 2013
Power Available : 0~1000 / -0.00 ~ -10.00

Price: $23.00
SKU: G201 Grey

They offer Standard Registered Airmail and Express Shipping (UPS/Fedex) and it costs 4$ and 10$ respectively for Asian countries including India..and both are with tracking..

It took around 2 weeks for it to arrive and you can track it at the same time to check…they have decent customer service and always reply back.

Now coming to the lenses..these look normal black from a distance..one can only make out the actual gray color in daylight or from a lesser distance..but ya being circle lenses they surely make your eyes appear bigger !! I like seeing those large pupils on my eyes :p

Feels different though..these are mostly used by many who have mono lids or chinky eyes..

Here is how they look on me..

Eye without lens..pls ignore my tired eye πŸ™

Eye with lens

See how it makes eye look more wider, rounder and awake !

Pros:

1. Nice variety of colors and brands to choose from.
2. Standard shipping cost with tracking.
3. Customer friendly.
4. These lenses did not irritate my eyes and were easy enough to use.
5. Have a validity of one year.
6. These are economical as they last a year.
7. Circle lenses wake up tired eyes and make them look rounder if you have sleek long eyes.

Cons:

1. These do not come with a lens case..so make sure you have your case and lens solution if you are not a regular lenses user.
2. The water content of these as mentioned is 38-40 % and so ideally these should not be worn for more than 4-5 hours as the eyes would not get enough oxygen making them dry.

Overall I quite liked them..and these look so pretty when you are all dolled up !! I think all of you who are kinda fascinated by colored lenses but never tried should give it a try..

Now whats in it for you…a coupon code..yes..! You can get 10% off on your entire order at Lensvillage using the coupon code ’10BMK’ and its not a limited period coupon..you can use it anytime..so those of you who want to try colored lenses..go ahead..do try..:)

Rating:

Quality: 3.5/5
Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 3.5/5

Overall Rating: 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes

Have you used colored lenses before? Which is your favorite color ??

P.S: Product sent by site for review but it has not affected my opinion.
