NOTD- Lakme Absolute Fast and Fabulous One Stroke Nail Color24 Crimson Fire

I have reviewed the Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail Paints here with the 17 Popping Pink NOTD..
NOTD- Lakme Absolute Fast and Fabulous One Stroke Nail Color 24 Crimson Fire

Today I have on my nails…the shade 24 Crimson Fire…its a true bridal red shade..quite like the Lotus Herbals  Colour Dew Nail Enamel Crimson Red

I loved the Popping Pink shade..and I am loving this Crimson Fire too..as mentioned in the review..the only thing I hate about it is..it chips from the tips in just a day..

These pics are just a day old..and as you can see it has already chipped from the tips..

It stays on the toes though..I totally love using it on toes..

These lipstick refills of 1.2 g cost Rs. 250/- each and you can get a 3 or 5 pan palette to store them..you can also buy only the refills from shopatmajorbrands.com

These are super creamy and super pigmented..the lighter shades stay for 3-4 hours where as the brighter shades stay on for a good 6-7 hours..they never feel dry on lips..love the formula totally.

03 is a nude pinky brown shade..an MLBB for me..a perfect everyday wear shade..this stays for a good 3-4 hours on me…it does not wash out but gives that warmth…looks so natural on the lips..a great combo with heavy smokey eyes…a little similar to MAC Hug Me..

Here is it on me..

Also see the swatch of the shade 51 here and 01 here.

Overall I quite love the Inglot Freedom System Lipsticks..03 is a nude pinky brown..an everyday shade for me..and a good pair with heavy or smokey eyes..totally recommend..you might find your perfect MLBB.

Illamasqua Eye Shadows Review, Swatches

Illamasqua Eye Shadows Burst, Sex Review, Swatches

I had mentioned about the Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism Collection here. Burst and Sex Eye Shadows are a part of the Human Fundamentalism Collection.

What the Company claims: Each of these glorious colours makes a statement that is as individual as you are. Highly pigmented, prepare for an intensity that’s not just colour-true but extremely long-lasting. Experiment and be bold.

NET WT. 2g 0.07 OZ.

MRP: £15.50

Artist’s Tip: Use a long bristle brush for blending and a shorter bristle brush for precise colour placement. Mix Powder Eye Shadow with Sealing Gel for colour-intensification, and apply with an Angled Eye Liner Brush for unlimited eye liner opportunities. They can also double up as blushers or contours, whilst shimmer textures can be used as a highlighter on the eyes, face and body.

Ingredients: TALC, DIMETHYLIMIDAZOLIDINONE RICE STARCH, MICA, AQUA (WATER), PROPYLENE GLYCOL, MAGNESIUM MYRISTATE, OCTYLDODECANOL, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, PEG-150, PHENOXYETHANOL, RICINUS COMMUNIS OIL (RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL),CETEARYL ALCOHOL, QUATERNIUM-26, SILICA, METHYLPARABEN, GLYCERYL RICINOLEATE, CERA CARNAUBA (COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX), CANDELILLA CERA (EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX), ETHYLPARABEN, SODIUM CETEARYL SULFATE, STEARIC ACID, CERA MICROCRISTALLINA (MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX), PROPYLPARABEN, TETRAHYDROXYPROPYL ETHYLENEDIAMINE, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDU (MINERAL OIL), CETYL ALCOHOL, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), PARFUM (FRAGRANCE) AND MAY CONTAIN: [+/- TITANIUM DIOXIDE CI 77891, IRON OXIDES CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CARMINE CI 75470, ULTRAMARINES CI 77007, YELLOW 5 LAKE CI 19140, BLUE 1 LAKE CI 42090, BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE CI 77163, MANGANESE VIOLET CI 77742, FERRIC FERROCYANIDE CI 77510, RED 40 LAKE CI 16035, CHROMIUM OXIDE GREENS CI 77288, CHROMIUM HYDROXIDE GREEN CI 77289] (EU EXCLUSIVE SHADES MAY CONTAIN: CI 12085, CI 15850, CI 45380, CI 15985, CI 73015, CI 45410, CI 77266) MAY CONTAIN CARMINE AS A COLOUR ADDITIVE. STOP USE IF IRRITATION OCCURS.

Other shades from this collection:

  • Cancan (Lilac Purple)
  • Pivot (Yellow Green)
  • Vernau (Yellow Ochre)
  • Obsidian (Rich Black)

They come in a trademark Illamasqua square black packaging..they do not come with a mirror or brush.

Burst is described as Blue Green and Sex as Pure White, Matte Finish.

They are quite smooth and well formed in texture..and not powdery…but they work well when patted..though they blend nicely..blending has to be done carefully and slowly.

Burst is definitely more pigmented and quite rich..I love this bluish green shade..kinda teal..the photos do not do justice to it..they are catching only the blue color..the greenish hue is not evident in pictures. And Sex is a plain white matte..good for highlight and inner corners especially when you use shimmery eye shadows…this also works nice as a base for soft colors to show up.

The swatches are just 2 swipes..these are quite pigmented..and stay well without creasing or fading…especially Burst.. its super pigmented.

Pros:

1. Very pigmented.
2. Smooth and well formed texture.
3. Stays put the whole day.
4. I like the black square packaging it has.
5. 2g would last really long.
6. Does not crease or fade.
7. Can be used as an eyeliner too..the Burst shade would look pretty good.

Cons:

1. Availability is an issue..though Illamasqua has sales every now and then..and also has Free Shipping offers often.
2. Expensive.
3. Blending has to be done carefully.

Overall I quite like them..the texture and pigmentation is pretty good..especially of the darker shades. I would totally recommend Illamasqua Eye Shadows..but since they are a little expensive..I guess it should be bought together when there is an offer going on..

Indoors

Sunlight

Cool Winter is a peachy bronze shade which has gold specks in it. It would look fab on all skin tones as it imparts a nice glow to the cheeks..would suit medium to fair more..as it would show up on them..for dusky skin tones..it would just give a hint of glow.

Jordana Blush in Sunlit Bronze is a little similar..but Sunlit Bronze has a hint of warm pink too…where this is more of peachy coppery brown.

Its rightly named Cool Winter as it would bring color to the pale skin in winters..it would also work as a bronzer for some skin tones..

Pros:

1. Natural everyday shade.
2. The gold specks also work as highlighter.
3. This shade would also work as a bronzer.
4. Recyclable cardboard packaging.
5. The brush is soft and decent enough.
6. This shade would suit all skin tones.
7. Pigmented enough and does not look OTT.
8. Stays for a good 5-6 hours.

Overall I do love the shade..it brings warmth to the skin..and never look OTT..even if you are a beginner you would not go wrong with this..totally recommend.

MRP: US$ 37.00 for 50ml

I have the Evening Light which is a little dark for my skin..the Day Light would have worked better. I mix this with a lighter foundation or top it up with a lighter powder if used as it is…but even if used on its own..it does not appear too dark and settles with the natural skin tone.

It has a very light floral kinda smell which I like..feels very very light on the skin..since its water based..I love that it feels so light..you never feel like you have anything on the skin..

I love their trademark half cylindrical and half flat the base bottle..it has a flip cap on top..with a small opening for the product to come out..

Pros:

1. Feels very light on skin.
2. Adjusts to the natural skin tone.
3. Since it is water based..it would suit all skin types.
4. Different and nice packaging.

7. Stays for a good 6-7 hours.
8. Has a light floral smell.

Cons:

1. Only three shades available.
2. Expensive.
3. Availability is an issue.

Overall I have no cons with the texture and formula..its one of the best Tinted Moisturisers I have tried..completely loved the water based formula..and light feel..but it sure is expensive for a TM..and availability is an issue too..

Inglot AMC Mousse Foundation Review, Swatches

Inglot AMC Mousse Foundation mw700 Review, Swatches

Inglot has five types of Foundations..Cream Foundation (comes in inverted white tube), AMC Cream Foundation (comes in a bottle with a normal pump dispensor), YSM Cream Foundation (comes in a tube), AMC Mousse Foundation (comes in a jar) and cream powder (comes in a flat pan..creamy foundation that settles to a matte finish)

AMC stands for Advanced Makeup Components which is their higher and professional range..

YSM stands for Young Skin Makeup..YSM is only in Foundations.

What the Company claims: Beautiful light weight formula, soft to touch and melts into the skin effortlessly.

This air whipped foundation feels like silk on the skin and gives a natural coverage similar to a tinted moisturiser.Just perfect for that barely there skin! Whether its a product for your kit or an essential for your handbag, this is an addition everybody needs to give their skin that jlo glow!

**MUA TIP-Use Inglot liquid illuminators to give the skin a really polished glow!!**

Paraben Free Formula
Not Tested on Animals

Shades Available:

According to me..here m,l,f and d stand for Medium, Light, Fair and Dark and w and c stand for warm and cool..and then there are shade numbers..so mw is Medium Warm

MRP: Rs. 1000/- for 11 g/0.38 US OZ

Ingredients:

It comes in a small flat glass jar with a black cap..it has an air whipped mousse consistency as claimed..the texture is a little similar to Lakme Absolute Mattreal Mousse..or L’oreal Matte Morphose Foundation.

It has a slight fruity smell..but does not bother much and goes away in a few seconds..I generally use fingers to blend this..as the warmth of the fingers makes it melt and blend easily..or even Sigma F80 at times.

It gives light to medium coverage..and looks quiet natural..gives a matte finish and stays put the whole day.

The shade mw700 is a little darker..kinda yellowish for my skin tone…but being medium warm ideally it should have suited..I have not seen other 7 shades..so I am not sure which shade would really suit..but I wish there were more shades available..

Unblended
Blended

Pros:

1. Love the air whipped creamy texture.
2. Blends easily and quite well..even with bare hands.
3. Gives a quite natural look.
4. It gives a matte finish..good for summers too.
5. Stays put the whole day.
6. Reduces the appearance of pores.
7. Photographs well.
8. Paraben free and not tested on animals.

Cons:

1. Inglot is not available everywhere. You can buy it online here.
2. Expensive ! I wish it was either priced lower or the quantity offered was more.
3. I would have liked if there were more shades to choose from…especially suited for Indian skin tones.
4. It does have dimethicone and trimethicone..if you are allergic to silicones..I would suggest staying away.
5. Jar packaging.

Overall its a nice creamy mousse foundation which gives a matte finish, stays whole day, photographs well and looks natural too. I would surely recommend giving this a try..would suit all skin types..oily skin might need to powder a little after a few hours…but if you need heavy coverage, this is not for you.

Lotus Herbals Natural Blend Swift Make-Up Review, Swatches

Lotus Herbals Natural Blend Swift Make-Up SPF15 Natural Beige Review, Swatches

What the Company Claims: All-in-one make-up that works like a foundation, a concealer & a compact, with sun protection. Its smooth application creates an even skin tone, conceals imperfections & blends easily for a matte effect, without caking or clogging pores.

MRP: Rs. 249/- for 10g

Shades Available:

  • 710 Honey Beige (Darkest)
  • 720 Natural Beige (Mid)
  • 730 Creamy Peach (Lightest)
I have 720 Natural Beige..the mid one..its a little orangish for my skin tone though..

It comes in this twist up stick form..with a red and golden plastic body..though the plastic cap fits well..its not very sturdy.

The stick is super creamy and glides on well..it has an artificial sweet smell which I did not like..

This does not give enough coverage..its quiet sheer..works decent for an under eye concealer but if you have heavy dark circles..won’t work that way too..definitely not as foundation..it would give hardly any coverage.

Unblended
Blended

It does transfer on tissue and kerchief too…it works well as an under eye base..and pops up color..but since it very creamy..it would crease sooner too..
Pros:

1. Works in many ways.
2. Has SPF15.
3. Travel friendly.
4. Economical..and the qty of 10g is quite a lot too..
5. Works as base for eye shadows.

6. Conceals light dark circles.
7. Did not break me out..but since its creamy..oily skin definitely needs to set it with powder.

Cons:

1. Not much coverage.
2. Only three shades to choose from.
3. Has a sweet artificial smell..which I detest.
4. Transfers on tissues and kerchiefs.
5. Wear time is just 4-5 hours max.

Overall I found it pretty ok..if you have dry skin and do not need much coverage..you can give this a try..but if you need coverage..this would not work for you.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Highlighting Liquid Review, Swatches

Rouge Bunny Rouge Seas of Illumination Highlighting Liquid Review, Swatches

About the brand: Intricate and luxurious cosmetics brand, Rouge Bunny Rouge, twists opulence and beauty with embellished detailing to deliver a range of colour make up that embraces both romance and whimsy. Wearable, blendable and adaptable formulas and shades are at the very heart of Rouge Bunny Rouge. The formulas are absolutely outstanding and have been sourced from the world’s most sophisticated laboratories. We are delighted to be able to share this very unique and qualitative brand with you.

At sunset in the Enchanted Garden, you can fleetingly glimpse the mermaids dancing in the gently lapping waves of the Grand Moon Seas. Evening mists rise and tenderly caress them, lingering languorously on their bodies to gift their skin with uncommon youth and beauty.

We were inspired by this scene to bring you this dream-in-a-bottle, so that you can have your very own transformation. The moisturising surge of liquid pearls will dance whispers on your skin till dawn. Be as playful as the magical being that you are… you’ll still look as sublimely refined and urbanely elegant as the Moon itself. The tiny reflective particles will illuminate you anywhere you choose, with a sinfully quivering effect to quietly showcase your beauty. Bring fine-spun silver thrills by night or by day – to eyes, brows, temples, shoulders… No one can eclipse you, Moon Mermaid.

This multipurpose water-based fluid blends easily with moisturiser, or with foundation, to customise the look – to yours alone. Create an inside-out illumination effect and blend it to a thin, refined wash of pearls. Light fragrance of Cucumber with a touch of Peach Flower will add to your application pleasure. A quartet of shades with Melissa extract to soothe, and Vitamin E to guard against ageing. The highlighting liquid can be used alone or over moisturiser and as a highlighter, over foundation, too.

Small tricks:
Use your fingertips or RBR Foundation Brush (# 009) to apply a fine sheen to moisturised skin. Blend MILK AQUARELLE on top or mix the Liquid Foundation with the Highlighting Liquid and apply the two together for a light-reflecting radiance.

For an almost-invisible bloom of health and radiance, mix with either the PRELUDE IN THE CLOUDS or SERAPHIC VEIL and finish with a hint of powder.

Use ´Sea of Clouds´ (white) for a sophisticated and dramatic effect or ´Sea of Nectar´ or ´Sea of Showers´ (beige and gold versions) for a more subtle shimmer. Use the Foundation Brush or your fingertips to highlight your cheekbones, brow, nose. Use the Sea of Clouds (silver-white) on the bridge of your nose to make it look thinner. A small amount blended into the tip of your nose will make it appear shorter.

Mix any of the four shades with our new Tinted Moisturisers to wash your skin with a light-reflecting radiance.

MRP: £ 45.00 for 30ml (Rs. 3600/-)

L-R: Nectar, Tranquility, Clouds, Showers

Sea of Tranquility: The soft pink hue is filled with silver and gold inflections, which makes it versatile enough to work for pale skin tones as well as olive skin tones. It’s a fab shade to use as we move from winter to spring, as it does a magical job brightening your complexion to make you look fresh and fancy. Palest milky opalescence, with super fine pink, white and gold pearls, luminous effect – Perfect for enlivening tired looking skin and all skin tones

Sea of Showers: We’ll let you into a little secret: this is the best-selling shade of RBR’s Highlighting Liquids. For tan and darker skin tones, it will blend beautifully with your skin to create a totally natural radiance. Honeyed white-gold with a luminous effect – Use all year round for golden tawny gorgeousness or to enliven pale blue winter tones

Sea of Nectar: The darkest shade of RBR’s Highlighting Liquids is stunning on tanned and dark skin. The rose-gold shade will warm skin to make you look like a sun goddess all year round, much to the envy of everyone around you. Gold-in-rose to give a pale copper luminous effect, stunning – To warm and uplift cool skin.

L-R: Nectar, Clouds, Tranquility, Showers

I have the small samples of it..I have used it 5-6 times..now I do not use highlighters on a daily basis..but occasionally…these are just awesome ! I guess I won’t need to say anything else..

Blended

Liquid Highlighters..not too shimmery..stay on the whole day..look amazing mixed with a foundation (give an amazing dewy finish) ! What else does one need :p

These are super easy to blend and very easy to work with. I use it at the top of the cheek bones, brow bone, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow.

I am totally loving them..

The problem with this as always is the availability ! Its available at Zuneta here. This sure is super expensive too !

But if you don’t mind shelling for a good liquid highlighter..I totally recommend this..I love the Sea of Showers the most..it does bring a warm glow to the skin.

Moreover it leaves your lips fragrant with a slight flavour of vanilla, which all the way makes them more kissable.

  • Charity
  • Chilled Cherry
  • Coral Fusion
  • Crystal Clear
  • Cupcake
  • Icicles
  • Innocence
  • Luxe
  • Maple Fudge
  • Tickled Pink

I am reviewing the shade 051 Cupcake..its a sheer baby pink gloss with some silver shimmer..it has a sweet vanilla smell..which I loved..but no taste..

Its a long sleek normal lip gloss packaging..and has a slanted applicator..its non sticky and quite moisturising…stays on for 2-3 hours which is good enough for a lip gloss..
Here is how it looks on me..

Pros:

1. Has a nice vanilla smell.
2. Quite moisturising.
3. Many shades to choose from.
4. Stays for a good 2-3 hours.
5. Non sticky.
6. 5.6 ml is a huge quantity for a lip gloss.

Cons:

1. Expensive. I know Revlon Colorburst are priced the same..but those are much more pigmented and better.
2. Availability is an issue.

Overall these are decent lip glosses..if they were priced at around 300-350..it would have been better. I quite like the vanilla smell…the shade Cupcake is sheer baby pink..and can be used to top up all lipsticks..and can even be used alone..perfect to be paired with smokey eyes.
