I am back with an OOTD, this one is from my Andaman holidays. We had a private beach at our hotel in Havelock and I clicked lots of pics everyday there as were almost whole day on the beach i.e. till 4-4.30 after which it get dark there 🙁
But anyways, let’s come on to the OOTD. I had this aqua blue ‘Born On The Beach’ tee which I knew I want to and have to wear on my Andaman holidays 😀
I paired it with white shorts and my stack of bracelets.

I love the concept of bags how they have a different customized bag each month according to the monthly theme. Also these bags are pretty useful and handy for travel, etc when you want to carry some basic makeup/skincare
For the month of March, they have a Woman’s Day Special Fab Bag. It’s a cute bright pink pouch with a Coco Chanel quote and also they are running a campaign called #MakeupForDifference where you can leave a message here http://fabbag.com/makeupfordifference/ and for every message, Rs.50/- shall be donated on your behalf to these inspiring Fab Women.
Let’s have a look at the contents of my March Fab Bag:
Inveda BB Cream in Fair- Full size (Rs.140/- for 15ml)
SoultTree Kajal in Pure Black- A special 3g packaging (Rs.340/- for 5g)
Palladio Herbal Lipstick in Rosey Plum- Full size (Rs.650/-)
Sebastian Professional Hydre Shampoo- 50ml (Rs.1400/- for 250ml)
Fashionography Earrings
To start with the Inveda BB cream, its quiet nice and good for everyday use. Only issue being just 2 shades available: Fair and Matt
I have tried the SoulTree Kajal before, the Pure Black is much smoother than other colors which go on a little hard. Also its all natural and organic made from ghee and camphor, but if you are looking for something smudge free, this won’t help at all.
I loved a full sized lipstick in the bag, though I wish I would have got some other matte shade. This shade Rosey Plum has shimmer and I am not a fan of shimmer.
I like the Sebastian shampoo deluxe size and would be carrying it for my next travel.
Absolutely loved these cute butterfly blue earrings from Fashionography.
Overall, some hits and misses. Though more of hits for the price of Rs.599/-. I absolutely recommend giving Fab Bag a try.

For people who have a hectic work schedule and have a long working hours, shopping can be a difficult thing to do, however, with the emergency of a plethora of online stores, shopping has become easy and quick. The online stores not only help you save time but also help you save a lot of money. However, the secret to saving money is knowing how to use the online coupon codes.
Just like the printed coupons that you find on the coupon magazines or the local classifieds, the online coupons can be used to get a discount or rebate on the things that you purchase from the online stores. In the recent times, the online shopping coupons have become a huge hit; they have completely changed the way people shop online these days. If you have no prior experience using the coupon codes, read on to know how you can save money with these coupons:
First and foremost you need to find the coupons online. If you have already made your decision about buying the product from a particular store, you can simple Google the terms (Store name) online coupons. For instance, if you want to a buy a dress or shoes from jabong, you can search for Jabong coupons and you will find a full list of coupons that is available at that particular point of time.
One of the important things to know is that the online coupons are of two types. One is the discount coupons, which allows you to buy a particular item at 30% or 50% discount and the other type is the complimentary coupon, which allows you to get free items on purchase of a particular product or on the purchase of goods for a certain amount. To avoid any confusion while you redeem the coupon code make sure that you choose the right product.
Although a large number of online shoppers today use the discount coupons while shopping, major of them tend to ignore the validity date the coupon. You must know that each and every coupon comes with a certain validity date and if it is not used within the validity period you would not get any discount. Therefore while looking for a discount coupon it is important to check its validity period before using the code while shopping. Typically, most of the online stores, regularly update their coupons and remove the ones that have expired. If you have subscribed for the newsletter service of a certain online store, you can be rest assured of getting the latest coupons through e-mail.
To save money on your online shopping it is advisable that you prepare a list of the things that you wish to buy and then decide which products are your urgent needs and which are the ones that you can afford to buy on a later date. Online shoppers suggest that by doing this, they can save up to 50% more money.
Thus there are many advantages of using coupon codes while shopping online so if you are keen to avail these benefits change your regular shopping habit and get the online coupons and keep saving every time you purchase online.
Editor’s note: Do you shop a lot online? Use coupon codes? I always do and have saved a lot of bucks 😀
Learn about the Causes of Hair Fall and its Effective Treatments
Guest Post
Find out all about hair fall treatments and the safe remedies that can be easily followed at home. Pay attention to your hair by eating right and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Nothing can be more attractive than a head with thick hair that shines with health. A bald patch on the scalp or thinning hair can be an embarrassing situation among peers. Every person has about 100,000 strands of hair on their scalp, and it is proven that losing 50 to 100 strands a day is normal. It is time to pay attention and follow some hair loss remedies when you start experiencing severe signs. There can be several causes of hair fall, and it is crucial to take the necessary treatment. Some of the most common factors for this condition are hormonal changes, junk food with no nutritional value, unhealthy lifestyle, stress, medications, vitamin deficiency, thyroid disorder, and menopause. Other reasons such as environmental effects, excessive smoking, scalp infections, genetic factors and chemical products also add to the severity.
Nutrients for maintaining good hair
A strong immune system plays a vital role for having good hair. If you fail to provide the right nutrition to your hair, they will eventually fall. Start eating properly and include the following products in your diet for hair fall prevention:
Omega- 3 Fatty Acids: Foods rich in omega- 3 fatty acids provide nourishment to the follicles, thus acting as one of the best hair loss remedies. You can have flaxseeds, walnuts, salmon, sardines, and soybeans.
Zinc: If you have a deficiency of zinc, then it could be one of the major causes of hair loss. Zinc helps to build proteins and boost tissue growth and repair. It also controls hormones and can lead to hair loss. Zinc-rich foods include seafoods like oysters and crab, lean beef, wheat germ, spinach, pumpkin, nuts, pork, and chicken. These foods are effective for hair fall treatment.
Protein: Our hair is made up of protein, and its deficiency can lead to bad hair. It can also be the cause for graying of hair. You can consume milk, cheese, yogurt, lentils, salmon, poultry, eggs, beans, soy and lean beef for getting maximum protein benefits.
Iron: Iron carries oxygen within your body. Its deficiency can lead to less oxygen in the head and ultimately poor blood circulation. Protein-rich foods include egg yolks, red meat, dry fruits like raisins and prunes, leafy vegetables, turkey, beans, and chickpeas. Seafood lovers can consume oysters, clams, and scallops.
Vitamins A and C: These nutrients produce sebum, which is the oily substance secreted by our hair follicles. It prevents hair from breaking off and improves iron absorption. However, keep in mind that this vitamin needs to be consumed in moderation. Eat sweet potatoes, carrots, spinach, Swiss chard, winter squash and lettuce for vitamin A. Fruits such as papaya, bell peppers, strawberries, pineapples, oranges, and kiwi are rich in vitamin C.
Home remedies for hair loss
Oil massage: An oil massage can improve the blood flow to the hair follicles, strengthen the hair roots and condition the scalp. It relaxes the scalp and reduces the feeling of stress. You can use hair oils like coconut or almond oil, olive oil, amla oil and castor oil. You can add a few drops of rosemary oil to the base oils for powerful hair fall prevention.
Fenugreek paste: Fenugreek, also called methi, is an extremely beneficial hair loss remedy. Its seeds have hormone antecedents that improve the hair growth and rebuild follicles. They are a powerful source of nicotinic acid and proteins that stimulate hair growth. Apply its paste to your hair for about 40 minutes and follow this routine once in a month.
Aloe Vera juice: Aloe Vera contains enzymes that encourage hair growth. Its alkaline properties bring the hair’s pH to an optimum level. You can also consume one-tablespoon aloe vera juice on an empty stomach for promoting hair growth.
Indian Gooseberry or Amla juice : Amla is a rich source of vitamin C and iron. Its antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and exfoliating properties maintain a healthy scalp.
Taking care of your hair
Avoid brushing your hair vigorously
Do not shampoo too frequently if you have dry hair
Limit the use of styling tools such as blow dryers, curling irons and straightening irons
Reduce the use of harsh chemical treatments
Use a thick comb with wide teeth to prevent hair fall
Avoid hairstyles such as tight ponytails or buns that pull your hair and cause breakage.
Stress management
Stress could be the main reason for hair loss. Managing stress levels is the perfect way to deal with hair loss.
Meditation: Everyone can practice meditation and focus on the breathing process. It promotes emotional and physical well-being along with your hair’s good health.
Exercise: Exercising makes the mind stress-free. You can include walking, yoga, swimming, aerobics or workouts in your daily routine.
Once you understand the causes of hair fall, you can seek an appropriate Hair fall treatment. If you are tired of suffering all this while, you can try out the above-mentioned home remedies to prevent hair fall. A few alterations in your lifestyle, good diet and exercise can help you tackle with hair fall to a great extent.
What the Company claims: Defy conventions with Red Musk™ Eau de Parfum. Combining spiced musk with hot notes of cinnamon and intense tobacco for a distinctly different fragrance. No flowers – just a bold blend of musk and spice.Contains cruelty-free musk Lasting eau de parfum Enriched with Community Fair Trade Alcohol from Ecuador
MRP: Rs.2995/- for 60ml
To start with, let me tell you I love warm, woody and musky perfumes, so I was bound to love this one!
Top note: Pepper
Middle note: Cinnamon
Base notes: Tobacco, Musk
The Body Shop Red Musk EDP is a mix of spicy and musky. It smells slightly strong in the first whiff after you directly spray it, but after a few minutes, it settles to a perfect, well balanced fragrance.
Though it does not stay very long, I would have loved if it stayed a bit longer.
It comes in the size of 60ml only currently, I think they should launch a 30ml soon which would be more reasonably priced too.
Its more of an unisex perfume even though it is meant for women, coz of the spicy, musky hit.
If you are like me who more often reaches for men’s perfume and likes strong, spicy, musky smell, you will surely love this and I definitely recommend this to you!
Here is another OOTD from Hong Kong…from Disneyland 😀 Yay
Everyone becomes a kid again once you enter Disneyland..it was super fun, though in terms of rides, Ocean Park was much better. Disneyland is a place where the kids would enjoy a lot, where as adults would love Ocean Park and the rides there more.
I wore this fun blue tee which read ‘I am LOLing..what’s your mood today?’ with lots of smileys thrown in. How cute is it..I loved it and thought it was perfect for Disneyland.
Paired it with my blue denims and mint flats from Bata, accessorized with Daniel Wellington watch and a pearl and spiked bracelet.
Also my black blazer to layer since it cold there..Mumbai people not used to :p
Do you know there is a separate MTR just for Disneyland Resort station? One needs to change the MTR to get to Disneyland. Also the train has mickey mouse windows and handles..how adorable the train looked!
Tee: Vintage
Denims: Forever 21
Shoes: Bata
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Bracelets: Mix
I hope you liked the outfit..do let me know in the comments below 🙂
Its been a long time I did a proper review..so here is one with The ONE.
What the Company claims: Oriflame The ONE Eyeliner Stylo has a soft felt tip which delivers a smooth, precise line without dragging or stopping. It is suitable for contact lens wearers, and is Ophthalmologically tested. The intense pigments deliver rich colour intensity and have been given a positive response of 99% when consumer tested on 67 women. Also it lasts upto 24 hours.
MRP: Rs.499/- for 0.8ml
The ONE Eyeliner Stylo comes in a sleek pen packaging with a long, stiff tip that is just perfect to draw a smooth line.
These swatches are just one swipe and I absolutely loved the pigmentation. I like a few liners which are nice and thin tip but the formulation is such that you have to go over the liner 2-3 times to get a decently pigmented line since they are thin/water based. Pigmentation wise, it gets a big thumbs up.
It comes in 2 shades, Blue and Black. While the black is more pigmented, I would definitely love to see more shades introduced in this like jewel green, purple, brown, etc.
It stays for around 6-7 hours with minimal fading later and comes off with a normal makeup remover. Does not smudge or smear.
It is slightly on the expensive side but mostly on offers, so look out for them and grab them when at a good discount.
I would have preferred a thinner tip coz I like very thin, subtle liner on me. Though its perfect for my winged liner days. But if you love thick liners or are a winged liner person, this will ease your life!
Only issue is available through Oriflame reps only.
Overall, I am quite impressed with the pigmentation and quality, would love more colors and maybe a thinner tip.
Rating:
Quality: 4/5
Value for money : 4/5
Availability: 3.5/5
Overall rating: 3.75/5
Would I buy it again: Yes
Have you tried the new Oriflame The ONE Range or the Eyeliner Style?
How many of you relate to this on some or the other days? :raises hand up slowly: Do you know that most women wear only 20% of their wardrobe 80% of the time? #Fact
The main reason for a wardrobe brimming with clothes but still have nothing to wear, is unorganized/cluttered wardrobe.
Few ways in which you can organize your wardrobe in a much better way:
1) Donate
Do away with clothes you haven’t worn in the past 6 months..there is hardly any chance you would be wearing them anytime soon in the near future. Donate the old clothes and shoes (or the ones that no longer fit) to the needy, that way you have more space plus some extra blessings 🙂 Do not keep those old denims/tees, etc. waiting to lose weight and get back in them some day. You can always buy new clothes when you lose weight..a little motivation to work out harder 😀
2) Arrange
Arrange your clothes according to seasons..summer and winter clothing, according to formal, casual and Indian wear, maybe all denims together, skirts together, etc. I do that always, makes my job of finding clothes easy. Some people prefer arranging according to colors which is also a good idea.
3) Curb impulsive purchases
‘Sale’, ‘Flat 50% off’, ‘Clearance’,etc. are some magical words which attract us :p Been there, done that! Or even emotional shopping, having a bad day and there starts our online shopping sites’ browsing. Do not give into the magical ‘sale’ word which is nothing but a marketing gimmick and also cut down on the emotional shopping! Shopping is no solution to our problems, its difficult but you can also try and restrict yourself to once a month or having a budget for shopping, etc.
4) Invest in key pieces
Anything that you have too many of needs to go, 5-6 pairs of black formal pants and denims, 3-4 white shirts, etc You do not need multiple of same things instead invest in some key pieces and quality stuff. Buy some premium western wear for women which are classic, can be worn on multiple occasions and you can create at least 3 different looks with! That, my friend, is the key.
5) Repeat the process
Keep cleaning, reorganizing and rearranging your wardrobe regularly, at least once in 6 months. Repeat this whole process and you are bound to keep your wardrobe in check.
Remember out of sight, out of mind. If you cannot see all of your clothes, you are never bound to wear them. Only the ones that are visible would be worn day in and day out while the rest just catches dust.
I hope these ideas help you organize your wardrobe better and you can make more use of your stuff 🙂
