Haircut and Nail Art at the Juice Salon

Haircut and Nail Art at the Juice Salon

Hey everyone,

If you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen my pic getting a haircut at Juice :p (shamelessly promoting my Insta..please follow :D)

So, I went to the Juice Salon in my area (Juice has 8 salons in Mumbai)..for getting a haircut..and then got the nail art done too..

Its a nice spacious salon..has two three rooms and one with a shower for the spas.

I was assisted by Rohit for my haircut..and since my hair was already pampered at Jean Claude Biguine (read HERE), it was super smooth and looking great..I did not wish to get a cut :p But a cut was long due..as the ends had grown out..

I wanted layers as they always have been that way and wanted to maintain my length..so he kept my length and gave me short layers at the crown so that I can get that volume and bounce..and side swept bangs..which I can partition either ways..

I loved the cut..he used TIGI Epic Volume Shampoo (which is SLS free and was quite nice..recommend this) to wash hair first..and he told me a good volumising shampoo is enough for my hair coz they are good texture wise 😀

And also a heat protectant serum was used at the start itself..and after the cut, he showed me the hair with cold blast blow drying before styling too..and it looked great without the styling maintenance too.

They use all TIGI products mostly at Juice..

Here is my before and after haircut..

And then there is this nail bar..does’nt it look amazing..with so many colors around..

I had to select a design from these options for the nail art..

And I chose this glitter one…I wanted something simple and quick..she used three nail paints for this..2 Jordana Glitters and one Love..First silver glitter was applied all over..then the love one with very find golden shimmer on the front half and then the Jordana orange gold glitter again on the front half layered, followed with a top coat.

I loved the final effect..and its been 6 days and its still almost intact..and she said if maintained it can stay 10-12 days..they also had gel nail option..

Here are some tips for you all to begin with nail art..

1. Use nail art stickers..you get fully designed stickers where you just have to stick them on your nails…and file out the extra. L’oreal Paris, Ayesha.accessories and a few other brands have them.

2. Nail art stickers also comes in different designs..like this one from Maybelline..it has hearts, moustache, etc..like these, you get tons of designs to choose from..just stick it on your nail and you are good to go.

3. Use cellotape. You can do French, diagonal, half and half..many different designs with a cello tape..just apply a base coat, cello tape on how you want the design to be and another color on the opposite side..thats it..

I did a reverse french using a cello tape here..the base is Keep Up the Flame (red) and Denim Dash (blue) on the tips..I did the opposite on the other hand but since Denim Dash is matte..the red was not showing up on it..and it did not look neat enough. But I loved how the blue came up on this red. You can try different options in colored French Manicure.

Here are few more designs..

Slide Show: Diagonal Stripes..using Orange Fix and Buried Treasure.

Cat Stripes: Using Bold Gold as base and Blackout for stripes.

Reverse French : Using Tenacious Teal and Crazy Berry
