March 2016 My Envy Box Review, Unboxing

Hi guys,

I just got my March 2016 My Envy Box and Oh My God, the design of the box is fabulous, I absolutely loved the box and I think this is by far my most favourite box!

The box was super heavy when I received it and I knew 2-3 brands as I had got a teaser mail, when I tweeted about it, the team said we have more than one full sized products this time and I was quite happy and excited.

The products in this month’s box:

  • BBlunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-in Cream- Full size (Rs.450/- for 150ml)
  • Hedonista Fleur Frozen Ittar- Full size (Rs.1045/- for 20g)
  • Bioderma Photderm SPF50+ Sunscreen – 5ml (Rs.1485/- for 30ml)
  • AVA Body Moisturizer with SPF30 – 50ml (Rs.650/- for 200ml)
  • L’Occitane Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner – 6ml (Rs.1460/- for 300ml and 250ml respectively)

I am glad we have two full sized products and one deluxe sized sample this time, hate the two sachets and the tiny sample though.

I remember getting the full sized Hedonista Oudh Frozen Ittar in the August My Envy Box. I absolutely loved it and now this one again is full sized in ‘Fleur’, love how this one smells too!

BBlunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Leave-in Cream/Serum has been quite talked about and is quite good, just use some every time post washing your hair and you would have frizz-free smoother hair.

The AVA Body Moisturizer of 50ml is quite a good size and I love the ingredients, it has shea butter and essential oils of jasmine, mogra and vanilla, smells amazing and I am carrying this for my short trip in 4 days, it’s perfect for that.

Not happy with the Bioderma susncreen sample which is a repeated product and the 6ml shampoo, conditioner sachets are not worth talking about. Sachets should be done away with, high time!

Super happy with the rest three products, the value comes to around Rs.1650/- (not counting the two tiny samples.) If you already have the BBlunt Serum, then you may skip the box, if you were anyways wanting to try it, it’s a nice box with the added frozen ittar.

I love each and every piece in the box, all the designs are totally my style. I don’t like chunky diamante pieces and I love stones and gems, also delicate and minute work is what I completely love. Both the set of earrings are something that would work with many different outfits from Indian to western, loved both of them!

Feb 2016 Forest Essentials My Envy Box Unboxing

Hi guys,

So after the Feb Fab Bag yesterday, it’s time for the Feb My Envy Box, and this time they are celebrating 15 years of Luxurious Ayurveda and it’s the Forest Essentials Special Box.

All the products are from Forest Essentials and it is one of my favourite brands that actually works and shows results on your skin and is all natural and free of chemicals.

The box is white colored with a pretty peacock design on the top, looks quite nice. All the FE products inside are arranged well compartment wise.

The products in this month’s box:

  • Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey & Vanilla Body Lotion- Rs.375/- for 50ml
  • Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap- Rs.295/- for 50g
  • Forest Essentials Hand Pounded Organic Fruit Scrub -8g (Full size is Rs.1675/- for 50g, so this should be around Rs.300)
  • Forest Essentials Lightening & Brightening Tejasvi Emulsion- 8g (Full size is Rs.2275/- for 50g, so this would be Rs.400)
  • Forest Essentials Madurai Jasmine & Mogra Silkening Shower Wash- Rs.295/- for 50ml

The prices of the smaller 8g samples mentioned on the card are not really justified coz the difference is huge compared to the original price of the product, so there must be a mistake. But still the products are pretty decent sized and the body lotion, soap and shower wash are perfect for travel too.

The total value of the products in the box comes to around Rs.1650-1700 which is still pretty good coz you are paying Rs.850/- per month which is half of that, and even lesser with 3 months of 6 months subscription.

I love FE products and these samples are perfect for me to try and know if it’s worth investing in the full sized product coz FE is not exactly cheap. I definitely recommend getting this month’s My Envy Box, even if you have never tried Forest Essentials products or you swear by them, either way it’s a win-win.

September 2015 My Envy Box Review

If you remember the previous month’s My Envy Box, it was a bomb!! It was the best My Envy Box I had ever received. So I had very high expectations from this month’s My Envy Box, did it stay upto the expectations? Read on to know..

I received September’s My Envy Box today, and I also filmed a video and edited it all today 🙂

This month’s box is a silver colored one. It has the September card and the product details card, which has a few makeup tips on the back side of the card.

 

Let’s look into the contents:

  • Za Total Hydration Fresh Foamy Cleanser 5g sample- Full size Rs.299/- for 100g
  • Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel 75ml- Full size Rs.1800/- for 150ml
  • Catrice Ultimate Shine Lip Colour in What’s Apricot Full size- Rs.610/- for 3.5g
  • Trussardi Donna perfume vial 1.5ml

This time there is just one full sized product i.e. the lipstick, one super deluxe sized sample i.e Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel which is half the original size and two tiny samples which I am not too happy with.

The cleansing foam is only worth Rs.299/- and not something very expensive, so a sample size of at least 20g could have been included. I don’t like perfume samples in subscription boxes or bags, though this one smells nice, but you can get such tiny samples for free at the brand counters.

Catrice Lipstick in What’s up Apricot

My Catrice lipstick was a nice, everyday n*de shade and good to pair with smokey eyes, but it has melted and broken from the base and got damaged in transit :/

Overall I would say this month’s box is pretty ok, I am not too pleased. My expectations were sky high after the super amazing box last month. I would suggest you buy it only if you like the Davidoff Cool Water and the Catrice lipstick.

The price of the lipstick i.e. Rs.610/- and the shower gel i.e. Rs.900/- is a total of 1500/- which is decent for a box worth Rs.722/- (post discount)

I hope your lipstick remains intact though 🙂

This month’s packaging is different, the theme is ‘India Mon Amour‘ (which means ‘India My Love’ in French) and all the products are natural, herbal and organic. It is an oxblood red box with golden design on top depicting ancient India figures. August box is all about skin care and fragrance this month and something for the eyes.

It also has a separate card this time, apart from the product card, which has 5 ayurvedic skin care tips.

Forest Essentials details are missing and the 5th skin care tip is mentioned, a little goof up

Also coming to the products, I love everything in this box. The Hedonista Frozen Ittar is all natural and organic made with coconut oil and pure ittar. It is so convenient to carry and comes in this small jar. You need just a teeny weeny bit and the smell lasts for 7-8 hours minimum!!

I have got 2-3 small pimples and it is actually the perfect time to try out this Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask. It is in powder form and you can mix it with rose water or normal water and just apply it and wash off. I can’t wait to try this, have liked Suganda products untill now.

I wanted to try the Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist since a long time and I got it in this month’s box! Yay 😀 I absolutely love the smell and it is the best body mist I have tried, it just absorbs into the skin and leaves behind a refreshing smell. I have tried body mists from Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret too, but nothing beats this Forest Essentials one!

Coming to the Soultree Kajal, I already have 2-3 of these including one colored. I find the colored ones a bit dry in texture and these black ones are nice but as usual smudge a lot. So not too keen on the Soultree Kajal, but a full sized product is always good.

The 4th product is an option between Forest Essentials Body Mist & SkinYoga scrub, now I would have liked both 😀 But anyway, not being greedy, I am in love with this month’s My Envy Box. There have never been 3 full sized products and one deluxe sized (which is actually HALF) sample ever any of their boxes.

Plus a face mask worth Rs.400/-, this month’s My Envy Box is the best till date! I would still love it anyway if the August box makes me eat my words 🙂

I hope My Envy Box continues to come up with boxes like those of June & July, pretty impressed 🙂

June My Envy Box Review

This time its a bright coral box, I love the color <3 I like the revised packaging since April where there is only one card with all the product details and not 5 different cards. This month’s box has two full sized products!

Let’s see what all I got..

  • Catrice Smokey Eye Pencil in Petroling In The Deep which is a deep sea green (Full size– Rs.365/-)
  • Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil (2 x 3ml each)
  • Hedonista Chocolate Face Soufflé- Full size (Rs.1650/- for 115g)
  • Estee Lauder Pleasures EDT sample vial
  • Natio Meditate Hand Cream– Deluxe Sample 20ml

I am in love with every product this time which is a part of the box, there have always been 1-2 products in My Envy Box every month which have been my favourites, but I like all the 5 products the first time :p

A full sized Catrice Eye Pencil, I love smokey eye pencils which are perfect for those 2 minute makeup days. I am quite excited to try this and might review this soon 🙂

I am currently using the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil and Beautifying Cream. Though the original bottle is not that big to carry, but these 3ml vials are perfect for travel. I am loving the oil and these vials are definitely coming along with me, on my next trip 😀

Hedonista Chocolate Face Souffle is a chocolate and clay based mask, now who doesn’t love chocolate. Never tried this brand but the packaging and the mask look super yummy and nice.

Estee Lauder Pleasures is a classic, and I absolutely love its smell.

And lastly the Natio Meditate Pink Lotus Hand Cream which smells divine and works pretty well as a hand cream <3

Overall I would say this month’s My Envy Box is a total paisa vasool and I quite like it. Highly recommended! Get the June box now, if you haven’t yet placed the order. I received the box today and reviewing it today itself, so that you guys can place your orders 🙂

April 2015 My Envy Box Review

I am late in reviewing the April My Envy Box but here it is..

This time they have changed a few things in the box. Its a peach colored box, usually they have a pouch in which all the products are, this time there was no pouch and the products were all separate within the box. Also there was only one card this time with information of all 5 products unlike 5 different cards for each, which is good.

Lets take a look at what all I received in the April My Envy Box:

  • Za True White Exfoliating Clay– A deluxe sample of 30g which is quite good (Full Size Rs.399/- for 100g)
  • Catrice Longlasting Lip Pencil in Prince Cherry- Full size (Rs.300/-)
  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream 1.5ml small vial (Rs.5700/- for 100ml)
  • Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating and Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream– 2 small jars. I guess they are 5-6g each. (Full size Rs.1195/- for 50g)
  • Avene VHP Dry Touch Emulsion SPF50+ 5ml (Rs.1250/- for 50ml)

I love the products this time, a full sized makeup product is a perfect addition. The Catrice lip pencil is a very pretty red and would work with so many of my red lipsticks. I like Kama Ayurveda products and looking forward to trying out the night cream which I am glad comes in 2 jars and is a good quantity. The Za True White Exfoliating Clay is a new launch and is exclusively a part of My Envy Box, so again something new to try.

I am already using the Avene Dry Touch Emulsion and love it, so this would go into my travel bag, useful for a 1-2 day short trip. And the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream smells like a dream indeed, fresh and floral but a bit light though for my taste.

Overall, I am quite happy with this month’s My Envy Box. I hope they continue with this, coz I see such good boxes only once in 3-4 months and not every month unfortunately 🙁

My Envy Box February 2015 Review

This time, the box was Valentine Special and curated by Miss Malini also called Miss Malini’s Box of Love. It was a black colored box  this time with a pink satin pouch inside..loved that pouch.

Also, there were two additional cards inside this time.A Sephora makeover card for oneself and a friend,sadly no Sephora in Mumbai and its a waste for me :/

Second was a Rs.500/- off on H2O+ stores card, will have to try that out, 2 stores in Mumbai thankfully.

What I got in the box:

Calvin Klein Reveal: Rs.4500/- for 50ml It smells amazing, strong and musky. Its my kinda scent.

LYN (Live Your Now) Nail Lacquer: Rs.350/- for 12ml Its a beautiful creamy pastel blue called No Morning Blues, I tried it out immediately. Dries quickly and love the finish. I am glad its a full sized 12ml quantity this time <3

SkinYoga Post Workout Neem Purifier: Rs.1550/- for 200gms Its a barley and neem post workout body scrub, waiting to try this out. I love SkinYoga products, happy with this one.

Vana Vidhi Himalayan Wild Rose Bath Salt: Rs.990/- for 15gms Bath Salts are a pleasure to use, especially when its pure,natural rose. It smells of soft,pure rose with no added scent/fragrance.

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Youth Serum: Rs.4490/- for 30ml Not really a fan since its an anti aging range, I don’t like the fact that beauty boxes contain anti aging products unless specifically requested for.

Overall I loved this month’s box. A full sized product plus the other deluxe sized samples which are good enough to eat and smell fabulous. Use SkinYoga Neem Purifier post workout on Valentine’s Day, bath with the Vana Vidhi Himalayan Wild Rose Bath Salt, apply the LYN nail lacquer and spritz some CK Reveal 😀 #not #justkidding

Anniversary October My Envy Box Review

So My Envy Box completed one year and we have an anniversary box this month. Its curated by Vogue India in association with their Vogue Empower project.

Its a gold colored box this time for the anniversary month. I love the red symbol embossing on the gold and the new compact size boxes since last month.

What I got in my box:

 

  • Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover 5ml- Rs.1950/- for 125ml- Vogue Beauty Award Winner 2014. This is a good sample size.
  • SkinYoga Sandalwood Saffron Face Mask 5.67g small vial bottle- Rs.1395/- for 50g
  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum– 1.5ml x 2- Rs.5200/- for 30ml
  • Sebastian Potion 9 10ml- Rs.1450/- for 150ml
  • H2O+ Sea Salt Hydrating Body Butter 30ml- Rs.1450/- for 250ml
  • Tatouage Ephemere gold string tattoo– Its a temporary tattoo created by Annelise Toraille

I also got the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief card but did not get the sample. It was anyways a 1.5ml sachet.

I wish the Sebastian Potion 9 was 2 sachets and the Estee Lauder serum either a slightly bigger sample or more sachets. I am happy with the Clinique and H2O+ sample sizes and that tattoo looks super!

I did not get one sample but since it was a sachet, its fine. I wish that was a bigger size too!

The box also had L’Occitane Spa La Vie Credit coupon of Rs.1000/- and an Estee Lauder card to learn one of their 6 tricks and maybe get a sample (if available) at any of their counters. Would try to find an Estee Lauder counter and would update you guys.

Overall, there are 1-2 hits in the box this time. I was expecting much more. Perhaps even a surprise little piece of jewellery or something. Vogue could have added a magazine subscription or something on their behalf too!
