So as I have become more active on Snapchat and Instagram, I am doing less of outfit posts here and less of vlogs too, coz I show the outfit and the event videos on Instagram and Snapchat respectively.
But I decided to post this one on the blog. I got this abstract print overlapping shift dress from StalkBuyLove recently, I showed it my latest YouTube Haul Video HERE
I wore this outfit for the Splash Spring/Summer Collection Preview recently. I paired this dress with my gold block heels and blue Michael Kors sling and gold Michael Kors watch. Also added a stretchable gold belt to give the waist some definition.
I love the overlap effect and the abstract print. Also the fact that it’s half sleeves, this dress is something which can be worn for multiple occasions like a formal affair or a casual day out.
Dress: StalkBuyLove
Shoes: Amiclubwear
Bag, Watch: Michael Kors
Belt: Kazo
I hope you liked the outfit, do let me know in the comments below.
I am a sucker of body washes. I have been using them since years and lately i have fallen in love with them. I have tried number of body washes since ages. Be it from the regular drugstore brands or the premium brands. This time I was eyeing the online marketplace to look for a brand new in terms of bath gel and I landed up with this baby – SEBAMED Liquid face and body wash. I am sure all of you might have heard the amazing properties of the foaming face wash which is supposed to be anti bacterial and all. And since it’s summers when i suffer the most with bacterial attacks and all so I decided to use the body wash. and that is the time when i bought this – Sebamed Liquid Face and body wash and thus here follows the review.
Product claims : Sebamed Liquid Face and Body Wash is dermatologist developed, ultra-mild, and compatible with the most sensitive of skins. It gently deep cleans pores without causing dryness or irritation as regular soap can. Fortified with a natural moisturizing complex of vitamins and soothing allantoin, it rinses away completely for naturally healthier, smoother skin.
My experience with Sebamed Liquid Face and body wash
The packaging of this body wash from the house of sebamed looks like it is a medicinal product. The packaging has the product name and other details written all over it. The bottle is medium in size which makes it easy to carry around. It comes with a easy cap which needs to be only twisted to get the product out.
The texture of the body wash is medium in nature. But still you need to dilute it so that it easily spreads on your body. The body wash controls the amount of oil on your body and also reduces the presence or formation of any new bacteria or any allergies on your body. There is a bit of medicinal smell but nothing over the top so sensitive noses need not worry. And you require a very little amount per usage so a little product will easily go a long way.
Good about Sebamed Liquid Face and body wash
1. Medicinal properties
2. Little product goes a long way
3. Affordable
4. Easy to use texture
5. Does not dry out skin
6. Maintains the pH 5.5 balance of the body
7. Keeps skin bacteria free
8. 100% Soap and Alkali free
Bad about Sebamed Liquid Face and body wash
1. Nothing for me other than the availability part
Rating – 5/5
Editor’s Note: Wow, this sounds pretty good for summers Pallavi. Definitely checking this out right away, nice review.
Have you tried the Sebamed Liquid Face and Body Wash?
At the unripe age of 19, she stepped into the glittery world of Tinseltown in a movie that thrived more on glitz and glamour and less on substance. Post the release, she was labelled a non-performer to an under-performer. The very next year, she came with a bang with a heart-wrenchingly honest performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway opposite the powerhouse performer Randeep Hooda and audiences unanimously exclaimed ‘The Student has grown up’. How true! Less than a year and she upped her acting game by leaps and bounds. With a few unsatisfactory performances in the past including the nowhere-Shandaar ‘Shandaar’ and the predictable and banal to death ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, she has managed to stay afloat as an ‘actor’. In the fashion department, given her age, she has dressed appropriately and that has caught the eye of the Fashion police. With a few glitches here and there, on average, her dressing sense is fun, youthful and exuberant. It’s none other than the chirpy Alia Bhatt and from her style book, today we are going to pick our best 5 looks that we drooled over. 🙂
1. THE FUN ONE-PIECE- Swaddled in a chic TopShop dress and ASOS brogues, this young lady looked prepossessing during the promotions of her then, impending movie- Shaandaar. The pink lips, nude makeup and understated eye makeup make it picture perfect for she is looking trendy effortlessly.
2. THE CROP TOP LOOK – Teaming up a black crop with a pair of comfy shorts and a black hat, Alia looked the textbook definition of winsome as she attended the press meet of Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya. Not to forget that dimple adds the perfect dash of cuteness, doesn’t it? 🙂
3. THE DUNGAREE LOOK AT THE MUSIC LAUNCH- She danced in her usual effervescent self and shutterbugs went into frenzy as she did so at the music launch of Shaandaar. Alia carefully and in fact, smartly opted for ILK overalls by Shikha and Vinita which she teamed up with a dark checked shirt. Soft wavy hair and metallic sneakers from Aldo ensured that brought the house down as she swayed to the tunes of ‘Gulaabo”
4. BRINGING THE LADY OUT WITH THE BOW DRESS- Ringing her 23rd birthday celebrations with panache, Alia opted for a black off-shoulder dress with a huge silver bow on its top. It channelized all her vivaciousness in one go.
5. WHEN SHE STEPPED OUT IN BLUE- Donning a Kanika Goyal outfit with a cool tee, understated heels from Pheddies and a little dramatic makeup, this pretty lass looked drop- dead gorgeous as she stepped out to promote Shaandaar. The movie might be miles away from its title but the look Alia carried was surely one. 🙂
If you follow me on Snapchat (bhumika_t), you must have seen me posting a few images and videos of VanityCube services I tried 2-3 days ago.
I have tried MyGlamm, LocalOye and UrbanClap before, and now finally I tried VanityCube. If you don’t know what vanitycube is, check their website HERE. It is basically a beauty service provider where you can book a range of beauty services to be done anytime, anywhere be it work, home, etc.
Presently VanityCube is available in Mumbai and Delhi only. They have 4-5 different packages which are available at a discounted rate and much more economical and convenient.
I went with the ‘Spoil Me’ package which has Rica wax for full hands, legs and underarms, Basic Manicure and Pedicure, Threading for eyebrows and upper lips and a Lotus Herbals Facial and Face Bleach. The services separately cost Rs.3455/- but this package is available at a discounted price of Rs.2900/-
What I loved about VanityCube:
The attendant Fatima came 10-15 mins before the appointment time.
She got me a small bouquet of roses as this was my first booking with VanityCube services
She got her own disposable spreads, foldable stool, extension cord and all the required things. She even had a disposable gown. Earlier all the services I had tried, they would ask me for newspaper, chair, etc. and don’t even carry a disposable gown.
The same attendant did everything, so there was no time gap or having two attendants for different services.
She was very neat and tidy, was not unnecessarily chatty and quiet good with her work.
I informed her about the water cut from 2-5 pm and she filled the manicure-pedicure tub and whatever water she would need beforehand.
She was not sure of my skin type for facial and got the kits for both skin types.
The massage she gave during manicure-pedicure and facial was very relaxing, she knows her work really well.
What I didn’t like about VanityCube:
Nothing, I loved everything and I guess it’s the first time 😀
I really liked the services and how everything was done, I am sure it might somewhat differ from attendant to attendant. I am glad I got Fatima and she was fabulous.
I went with my nailpaint- Makeup Revolution Heaven’s Above
I would just like to mention that the services do take a long time, so do not go by the 180 mins mentioned, coz it took almost 5 hours for everything, so do it when you have an entire day free to yourself. Or you can always try 2-3 individual services.
I highly recommend VanityCube, it is by far the best from all the beauty services providers I have tried, also recommend going for packages as it’s more economical.
P.S: Services were offered in exchange for an honest review, but that has not affected my review, as per usual.
Have you tried any beauty services provider? What do you think of it?
I’ve been a loyal lipstick user over years, it all started when I was 5 and I started applying my mother’s lipstick however back then I use to paint my entire face with lipstick and it was a ugly messy sight but I officially had my hands on lipsticks when I was in college, there are many things which are hidden and I’m going to reveal it for my lovely readers! These ideas and tricks are from my personal experience which will make your life so much easier. I feel every woman deserves to know these simple useful tricks!
1. New shade : Once your addicted to lipstick there is a constant urge to buy new shades, no matter how many lipsticks you own it’s still less! But here’s a simple trick, merge lipsticks! Use a darker shade lipstick as a base coat then apply a lighter shade you will end up with a different shade each time! You need to use a couple of lipsticks and find the right pair.
2. Matte lipsticks : Matte lipsticks are the new trend but do you know you can get matte look with any lipstick you have? Apply 2-3 generous coats of your regular lipstick now stick a thin layer of tissue on your lips dust some baby powder on a make up brush and rub over the tissue. After removing your tissue you’ll end up with matte looking lips.
3. Get a lighter shade : Love your lipstick but sometimes you wished it was a bit lighter? Apply your lipstick then apply a nude coloured lipstick, mix the colour well on your lips. If you don’t have a nude lipstick go ahead and use a foundation!
4. Avoid teeth stains : Imagine, you’re with your guy and he tells you there’s lipstick on your teeth!!! This would be such an embarrassing situation. Here’s a trick, This may sound kind of yuck but it’s worth it! Pout your lips then Insert a clean finger in your mouth slowly remove it out, the excess lipstick which is inside the mouth will be removed by the finger.
5. Use lipstick as blush : Running out of blush? Use your favourite pink lipstick apply some on your fingers and blend it over your cheeks, secure it with a compact powder.
6. Pop your red lips :Ever wondered how stars get that perfect red lips? Apply foundation over your lips and surrounding areas, to get perfect red lips you need to apply a lip liner, merge the lipliner on your lips then apply your red lips, this way your lips will pop on your face, when you go loud on lips apply light makeup on eyes and cheeks.
7. Fix Broken lipstick : Accidents happen! If your lipstick is broken, use a lighter to melt it then stick it back seal it with lighter again. be carful to melt it just as required or else you’ll end up melting the entire lipstick.
8. Avoid melting : Refrigerate your lipsticks to avoid it from summer time melting.
9. Long lasting colour : Blot your lips with tissue paper in between your lipstick application, doing so will remove excess oil from your lips, when you apply the second coat the colour grip will be stronger and it will stay longer. You can blot twice in between application.
10. Go larger : Larger lips always look sexy, the best way to achieve it at home is to use a concealer on your lips and surrounding area now reshape your lips by applying lip liner just slightly outside your natural lip line. Merge the colour with a brush or your fingers then apply your lipstick this way you’ll have bigger looking lips instantly.

What do you get when you blend charisma, a feisty attitude, oodles of acting talent, raw sex appeal, glamor, uninhibited self-confidence and a ‘My way or the highway’ approach? Kangana Ranaut. This Himachali lass set her foot in Tinseltown with the blockbuster ‘Gangster’ in the year 2006. A decade down the line and she’s been aptly crowned as the ‘Queen’ of the very same industry that for long pooh-pooed her as an outsider. With an impeccable style sense, she gives all the so-called fashionistas who swaddle themselves only in high-end designer outfits, a run for their money. So, here goes a list of Ms. Ranaut’s top 5 offscreen avatars that caught our fancy 🙂

Or is it Kangana’s attitude that makes it stand out? Keep thinking.

Bagging the coveted and highly esteemed National Award for best Actress in a leading role (Female) for the third time for her flick- Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) that defied the Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility and went on entertain more than the prequel, Kangana looked a million bucks at the prestigious ceremony in an icy-hued Georges Chakra dress.

Top 10 Volumizing Mascaras Available in India, Prices, Buy Online
By Sanchita
You know the saying, ‘Inner beauty is great but a little mascara never hurts.’ Well, I say the more the better. I saw more of a kohl girl than mascara one mostly because I couldn’t remove mascara properly before. Well, one day I tried out a mascara for an event and I was astonished the way it has turned my eye makeup. And from that day onwards I never skipped mascara. I loved all those tutorials where the bloggers use the beautiful falsies but honestly speaking, I could never get the hang of it. Maybe one day I will or maybe not, but for now I have the super voluminou mascara. They define your lashes and enhance the eye makeup tenfold. So, I have combined the best of the best voluminous mascaras available in India. Read on to know more about it.
One day when I was picking up some random makeup products from the Maybelline counter, the SA insisted me to choose The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara. Aishwarya & Sonam at Cannes 2016: Outfits & Makeup
Hey guys,
You all must have seen 100’s of pictures of both Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor from the Cannes Film Festival 2016. It’s the 15th year Aishwarya Rai was present at Cannes and she was there for all four days while Sonam Kapoor joined later for 2 days. Katrina Kaif was not present at Cannes this year due to her shoot commitments.
You must have seen the Infallible Range Makeup Collection launch for Cannes 2016 HERE, where I also reviewed & swatched the lip glosses.
Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya’s first look on the red carpet was a Ali Younes Couture golden gown, which she paired with smokey blue eyes and glossy nude lips. The dress was ok, the cape was not flattering and something was not right with the fit around her waist.
She wore a red ruffled gown from Naeem Khan with bold red lips.
Later she donned a Rohit Bal gold and brown ensemble for the Sarabjit screening. She paired it with smokey eyes and nude lips, like the makeup, the dress is quite ok.
The Elie Saab gown was the showstopper! Bold red lips and a winged eyeliner, soft wavy hair, she looked ethereal. The bold lips were achieved using a mix of shades from the L’Oreal Paris LA Lip Palette, I hope they launch it in India soon!
Her last look was a blush pink floral Rami Kadi bardot dress and brown smokey eyes with super bright and bold lilac lips with her hair tied slick back! While I did like the dress, I don’t like the lips at all! Pastel lilac is not her colour, she is fair with green eyes and pastel lilacs will just wash her out, a beautiful deep purple like MAC Recollection or something like that would have looked gorgeous on her!
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam’s first appearance was in Rimzim Dadu black and blue sari. She went with a blue liner, pink cheeks, fuchsia lips and a sleek low bun. I loved the earrings and harness behind! The makeup looked quite fresh and nice, I did not like the sari though, looked like vinyl :/
She later wore a flowy, white Ralph & Russo dress on the red carpet. Straight hair and gold smokey eyes with half brown half bronze liner and pinky nude lips, I guess since her gown was white, she could have gone with pink or a brighter shade. This looked good too, I liked the overall look and how it turned up.
And finally she wore another white Ralph & Russo flowy gown with a floral cape and Bulgari jewellery. A bow shaped sleek bun and bronze pink eyes with a smoked winged liner, highlighted cheeks, fluttery lashes and soft pink lips. This was my favourite look of hers in Cannes 2016.
At the end for the Chopard After party, she wore a gorgeous black Ralph & Russo gown with Chopard jewellery, of course. Again a sleek bun but with bronzed face and bold red lips this time. I loved this look too.

Whose look did you like the most? My favourite has to be Aishwarya’s Elie Saab look.
There is an inexplicable joy in stroking one’s fingers down lustrous, satin smooth and long locks that cascade like a waterfall. In fact, if we take walk down the lanes of Bollywood, then that scene in Rangeela where Urmila (named Mili in the movie) stroked and played with her hair sensually while grooving to the beats of the coquettish and peppy number ‘Tanha Tanha yahan pe Jeena’ is one that stays afresh in my memory even after so many decades. Oh boy, Urmila defined sensuality in that song and how! Okay, let YouTube be of help to you in case you are unable to recall that iconic song sequence 😛 Relive that era once again and don’t forget to drool over Urmila.
Coming back to hair, thanks to the fast-paced lives that we live today with dirt, pollution, dust, grime, chemical-laden products pumped into our mane at the drop of a hat and stress, our mane looks anything but gorgeous (of course, there are some exceptions but let us turn a blind eye to them for a minute and focus on the wider, general populace). Naturally, hair fall is what we face and dread. To combat this pesky woe, Livon had introduced its Hair Gain tonic. Honestly, I was wary of it since hair growth is influenced by a number of factors such as- diet (protein and iron rich), weather, quality of products used, type of comb used, sleeping pattern and duration, and so on and so forth, so I picked it up unwillingly. That said, I have used it a couple of times keeping my inhibitions aside. So, that calls for us to glance at its report card, right?
DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Apply directly on the scalp with the bottle’s nozzle or fingertips. Begin from the centre of the affected area and spread all over the scalp. Rub the tonic with your fingertips gently. DO NOT MASSAGE.
WHAT IT CLAIMS- Livon hair gain tonic contains root energizers which are enriched with hair re- growth molecules. It is clinically tested to accelerate hair growth and control hair fall by revitalizing hair follicles from the roots and improving hair quality.
MY EXPERIENCE-
Livon Hair Gain Tonic comes packed in a cylindrical plastic bottle with a cap on top. There is a nozzle inside that is covered to prevent spillage. On account of packaging, it is hygienic to use, leakage-free and travel-friendly. Since it fulfils all the requisite parameters of evaluation for me, I do not find anything worthy of modification. Hence, is up to the mark in terms of packaging for me.
The tonic has a liquid texture. In fact, one could mistake it for water had it not been pumped with an artificial fragrance and a yellow colour. The colour, however, isn’t visible when poured from the bottle. It does not leave any sticky or oily feel after being applied unlike an oil. In fact, it leaves a cooling sensation. I do not suffer from hair fall thankfully but some of my family members do and after using religiously for over a month, they did note reduced hair fall. They didn’t note any growth which is of course, tacit since I mentioned in the beginning that hair growth is impacted by a number of factors and no product, howsoever effective it may claim to be, can help one’s hair grow. What it can do at the best is arrest hair fall and this is exactly what Livon hair tonic does.
On the flipside, it comes laced with an alarming number of toxic chemicals such as- PEG, Propylene glycol, fragrance (under the garb of which a number of noxious chemicals are added), silicone (dimethicone) and coal tar dyes. So, using it would be like playing with fire. This point is subjective. Some people are comfortable with using chemical-laden products. Some are not. That said, if you are using it/desirous of using it, then at least do not develop a hang of it because so many chemicals if added to your scalp on a regular basis, will eventually wreak havoc in the long run.
GOOD-
1. Readily available
2. Arrests hair fall unless it is severe
3. Cooling sensation
4. Non-sticky feel
BAD-
1. Contains way too many chemicals such as- PEG. Silicones, fragrance, propylene glycol and coal tar dyes.
2. Artificial fragrance is irksome for me
3. Expensive
RATING- 3/5
Editor’s Note: Sounds ok, I think it’s good for someone having severe hairfall, can atleast control that. Don’t think it would help in hair gain though.
Have you tried the Livon Hair Gain Tonic or something similar?
