Streax Pro Lovely Hair Argan Secrets Serum Review

Streax Pro Lovely Hair Argan Secrets Serum Review

What the Company claims: A complex blend of essential oil, this moisturizing serum helps to replenish and restore dry and frizzy hair. Designed to provide an expert solution to everyday hair problems, this professional serum is aided with the rich benefit of Argan. Non greasy and greatly effective, the serum leaves hair soft and supremely conditioned, allowing you to let down your hair anytime, anywhere.

Claims & Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.349/- for 45ml

I like using hair serums as it controls most of the frizz especially in monsoons since hair is more frizzy due to the moisture and humidity (A forever story in Mumbai anyways)

I had not heard about Streax serums before, as hair color was always I associated it with. So, when I got to try this, I was all in, also coz I love Argan Oil.

It comes in a small dark tinted glass bottle with a white pump packaging and a small plastic clear cap to cover the white pump dispensor.

You just need two pumps of it and its more than enough. I love using it on my ‘just washed’ damp hair. Texture is slightly on the stickier side since its more ‘oil like’ than a serum. But then, I feel this is the reason, it controls frizz like nobody’s business !

Since its heavier, you just rub the serum in your hands and take thick strands of hair and press your hand against the strands, as if you coating them. You would still be left with some product even after covering entire portion of hair, as its just like touching them and not rubbing it on.

I love how my hair feels smoother and there is no frizz at all, after using this. It smells good too, not completely argan but slightly sweet coz of the added perfume probably.

Its a blend of argan, almond, walnut oil and Vitamin E. It does have silicones too, but it does not contain mineral oil or parabens. I guess silicones is something which is unavoidable in serums as that creates a layer on the hair to protect from moisture and not get frizzy.

I used it on both wet and dry hair. And IMO, I did not like using it on dry hair since its on the stickier side, it does not settle well on dry hair. Whereas it blended in, on wet/damp hair.

Overall, I would say I really loved it. Now its my staple after every hair wash. And since, you do not need much, the 45ml bottle is going to last long. Turns out economical at Rs.349/- even though its slightly higher priced than other serums. And I would prefer something like this with a blend of oils, rather than plain serums with just silicones. Highly recommended.

The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose EDT Review

The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose EDT Review

What the Company claims: A daring and mysterious fragrance in a light eau de toilette, featuring an intoxicating blend of cruelty-free musk with sinuous notes of black smoky rose and tobacco flower.

Seductive floral-musk scent
Contains cruelty-free musk
Light eau de toilette

MRP: Rs.1395/- for 30ml & Rs.1695/- for 60ml

I have been using this from almost 3-4 months now. The White Musk Smoky Rose comes in both EDT and EDP form like other scents from The Body Shop. EDT is milder and lighter whereas EDP is a little more heavier in terms of scent/fragrance (more concentrated)

Top notes are bergamot, pink pepper and black currant; middle notes are tobacco blossom, black rose, orange blossom and immortelle; base notes are olibanum and white musk.

I quite like the cute pink packaging too. Its very small and handy to carry along anywhere.

I love white musk smell but it can be a little heavy at times. When blended with this floral and fruity notes, it balanced the white musk smell. ‘Smoky’ is what the tobacco flower in this gives a hint of.

Its neither too sweet nor too floral or fruity. Like everything is in perfect proportion. You have a hint of fruity, floral, manly white musk, smoky tobacco but all subtly balanced.

I quiet love this ! Its something unique and nice. Only issue is it does not stay long on me, max 3-4 hours. So lacks on the longevity and sillage department. I wish it stayed longer. Perhaps I would try the EDP next time.

Highly recommend this. If you are someone who does not like too floral or fruity fragrance and you like white musk, this is the perfect balance.

Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Liner Review, Swatches

Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Liner Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eyeliner gives the precision line of liquid eyeliner for professional and smudge-free results.  The smooth texture of the gel eye liner delivers rich color and even coverage and ensures long-lasting luring eyes for up to 24 hours. It comes with a slanted brush applicator that gives smooth and flawless effects.

MRP: Rs.449/- for 3g

It comes in a small glass pot and a small slanted brush alongwith..

Its rich and deep..and matte black..good pigmentation..can be easily layered..I quite like it for tighlining..gives precise definition..

Texture wise, it is quite soft but not that smooth..I like the fact that the small brush can be used for travel and no need to carry a separate brush..but for regular use,I wish it came with a longer brush too,as holding that small brush and lining is sometimes difficult.

It stays on for 8 hours plus on my upper lashline with minimal fading. But it sets quickly and layering over it does not go smooth.

Pros:

1. Rich black

2. Very creamy.
3. Glides on well..no tugging or pulling.
4. Small travel friendly brush.
5. Stays put quiet long.
6. Its often available at a discount..and the qty is more than other gel liners..like Maybelline and L’oreal..so quite economical.

Cons:

1. I wish there was a longer brush too along.

2. Available only through reps.

Overall, I would say its a nice rich black, matte gel liner..and buttery in texture..comes with a nice travel friendly brush too..if you love gel liners, you should definitely try this.

Don’t they look gorgeous ? Californ.I.A has all 3 cream blushes and Pink Lemonade has 2 powder and one cream..

They have this regular black Sleek MakeUP packaging..and come with a mirror inside..all three individual shades inside have names too.

Pink Lemonade:

Icing Sugar : Cool toned pink with silver shimmer
Macaroon : Cool toned medium pink..quite creamy and wears good
Pink Mint : Medium rusty orange..fab shade !

Swatches- Unblended- Pink Mint, Macaroon, Icing Sugar (L-R)
Swatches- Blended- Pink Mint, Macaroon, Icing Sugar (L-R)
Californ.I.A :

Newport Peach: Medium Coral Pink
The Surf: Light Peach with gold shimmer..good for lighter skin tones
OC: Medium Coral Orange

Newport Peach, The Surf, OC (L-R)
The shades in Pink Lemonade are more suited for lighter skin tones..though Pink Mint looks great on our skin tones too. Icing Sugar is kind of ok..a little powdery too as you can see from the swatches.

The shades in Californ.I.A would suit medium skin tones..except The Surf..which is a light peach.

They have amazing pigmentation and a great wear time too..comes with a mirror..and cream blush I prefer using my hands to apply..only need a brush for the powder ones..

Coral lovers jump on Californ.I.A !

Both these are love at first sight..Highly recommend them.

What the Company claims: L’Oreal Paris introduces its first glossy crayon format for that looks after your lips. Balm and Gloss finally combined in an playful crayon format for mirror free application. Lips feel moisturised, look shiny with a sheer fresh looking colour pay off.

Shades Available:

  • 911 Lychee Lust
  • 910 Passion Fruit Perfect
  • 912 Peach Pleasure
  • 909 Pomegranate Punch

MRP: Rs.400/- for 2.5g

Another lip crayon..no its not a recent one..as you all know..but I had not tried it before..it comes in 5-6 shades but only these 4 are available everywhere.

Comes in a normal swivel up packaging…and has matching outer body to the shades..

Its super glossy and balmy as the name goes..has a slight fruity smell.

Pomegranate Punch is the brightest and juiciest of all four shades..its a reddish pink..with some fine shimmer.

It stays on for 2-3 hours..the shine fades in an hour or so..but the color stays..and leaves a tint behind.

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Nice packaging,

2. Easy to carry around.

3. Super glossy and moisturising..no need of a lip gloss or lip balm with this.

4. Quite pigmented.

5. Stays for 2-3 hours and leaves behind a tint.

6. Most reasonably priced lip crayon in the market.

Cons:

1. I would have loved more shades in this.

2. I wish it was sans shimmer.

Overall, its a nice buy..value for money..this shade Pomegranate Punch is the brightest and would look good on all skin tones..Recommend it !

Faces Neon Matte Nail Enamel Fire Stick Review, NOTD

Faces Neon Matte Nail Enamel Fire Stick Review, NOTD

By now, all of you must be knowing about these super gorgeous bright neon matte nail enamels launched by Faces.

I have reviewed 75 Ibiza HERE and 76 Bubblepop HERE

MRP: Rs.229/- for 9ml

They come in normal Faces Nail Enamels packaging..the brush is awesome..no streaking or spreading out..dries quickly..and it stays and stays !

This shade is wrongly named as Bubblepop..as you can see Bubblepop is a bubblegum pink and Ibiza is a bright coral..

This shade is brighter then Ibiza..a mix of orangey coral and pink..I was thinking it might not be as bright as Fire Stick..but then there are no other shades left out of the 5 neon shades launched..

Goes opaque in 2-3 coats and stays for a long time..more than a week.

The brush is super easy to use and gives a nice, smooth streak free finish. It dries super quick..no hassles of waiting..its TOLUENE & DBP, Camphor and Formaldéhyde free.

Perfect quality and good enough quantity..justified price..I have all 3 brights..Ibiza, Bubblepop and this..

Highly recommended !

Kerastase Resistance Fibre Architecte Serum Review

Kerastase Resistance Fibre Architecte Serum Review
What the Company claims: Kerastase Resistance Fibre Architecte seals and repairs damaged hair so you can enjoy beautifully smooth hair and shine, with renewed health and vitality

  • Specially formulated for brittle hair with extremely damaged lengths and split ends, this reparative serum is the perfect way to finish your look and add a healthy, long lasting shine
  • The weightless formula seals and repairs damaged hair so you can enjoy beautifully smooth hair and shine, with renewed health and vitality]
Additional Information
Apply Kérastase Resistance Fibre Architecte Level 3+4 to dry hair.

MRP: Rs.1500/- for 30ml

Ingredients:

It comes in a green and white half and half bottle..one side has a light green colored gel and one side some oil..it has a sideways pump dispensor..and both the sides dispense the product together..it is supposed to be combined together and then applied to the hair..like any normal serum..

My hair have turned pretty dry in the last few months..and so I thought of trying this out..it has helped my hair stay hydrated and glossy and shiny..and the most important frizz free..

I use it after my shampooing on half dried hair..and the best part is..it keeps my hair amazingly soft and shiny the next day too ! And it smells amazing..

I am completely in love with it..

Only issue being..I read that one side i.e the gel side of it gets over sooner than the oil one..and hence then only the oil does not give a similar effect..I wish they both came up in equal quantities and finish up together..

Pros:

1. Leaves hair super shiny and glossy.
2. Hair feels softer and hydrated.
3. Stays frizz free.
4. Effect stays on next day too.
5. Easy to use and carry around.

Cons:

1. A little expensive.
2. One side finishes up sooner than the other.

Overall I would say its perfect for dry hair..and gives that required shine and softness..and keeps hair frizz free..this serum is definitely a must try !

Neon Rose is a bright neon blue based pink..they have the same texture, etc as all Baby Lips..and are quite moisturising..I have one Baby Lips in each of my clutches and bags 😀 You can see how obsessed I am with these..my winter staple !

I only wished Neon Rose was a bit brighter..and so were the other colors in the Color Brights Collection..they are not so bright and pigmented as expected.

But, other than that..a pretty everyday lip balm..with a slight brighter pink touch..read the whole review HERE

Lakme CC Cream Review, Swatches, FOTD

Lakme CC Cream Beige Review, Swatches, FOTD
What the Company claims: Lakmé CC stands for Complexion Care cream. It combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes.

Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF 20), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage.

MRP: Rs.250/- for 30g

Shades Available: Beige and Bronze

How to use:

Ingredients:

It comes in a nice attractive gold and pink tube packaging..and it can be seen and felt that the quantity is good enough too..it does not squeeze inside the cap and is very much travel friendly.

It has a light floral smell..and one needs only a pea sized amount of this..and the coverage it provides is pretty good..much better than other tinted moisturisers in the market..I would say more than Maybelline, Revlon and Garnier BB and almost equal to the Ponds and L’oreal BB..here I compared them all 😀

Its not that moisturising..and tends to give a matte look..oily skinned beauties would love this..I feel a need to use a separate moisturiser..if I don’t, it clings to dry patches.

And the shade Beige is a little lighter for me..in this pic below I have used Beige..Bronze is slightly darker for me..I really feel there should have been one more mid shade in between the two and that would have worked perfectly for me..Beige would suit NC 30-35 and Bronze would suit NC 40-42. The mid people should have been thought of..are you listening Lakme ??

Pros:

1. Lovely packaging.
2. Economical.
3. Pretty good coverage.
4. A good enough quantity.
5. Gives a semi matte finish..great for oily skinned girls.
6. Stays for 5-6 hours after which a slight touch up is needed.
7. Has SPF 20..though not much..but little added protection.

Cons:

1. Cannot skip a moisturiser..clings to dry patches.
2. Beige is lighter and Bronze is darker..a mid shade is surely required !

Overall I would say its pretty good..and a boon for girls with oily skin…I guess Bronze would be a shade high in demand..and would suit most of the girls..a perfect daily use CC cream to your rescue. Recommended !

Rating:

Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 4/5

Overall Rating: 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..I think I will have to mix Beige and Bronze and use :p I wish they come up with a mid shade, though I doubt that :/

Have you tried the Lakme CC Cream  ? Your thoughts ?
