Saw the article in Mumbai Mirror today..liked it..so thought of sharing…3 different looks…Gemma Arterton,Karisma Kapoor n Malaika Arora Khan…all dewy natural make up.
1) Gemma Arterton
To get Gemma’s look, start by prepping up your skin. Using the right products is essential — applying moisturiser, eye-cream and sunblock should be part of your daily ritual. Whether going out in the day or night, get a dewy glow by mixing a bit of bronzer with your moisturiser or using a tinted moisturiser. It makes your skin look like you just stepped out of an energising bath. A light cream blush, with a hint of colour, on the apple of your cheeks will make it look like you just stepped in from the cold. Apply loads of mascara (but comb it out to re move clumps) and put a dot of silver or white highlight in the inner cor ner of your eye to open them up. For some colour on your lips, look for a lipstick or gloss that is a little darker than your lip colour. Instead of applying it straight out of the tube, put a dot in the centre of your lips and spread outwards with the help of a brush or your fingers. In case of lipstick, dilute the colour by spreading it with the help of a colourless lip balm or petroleum jelly. This way, you will have only a hint of colour on your lips.
2) Karisma Kapoor
Karisma is completely devoid of any base make-up. To get her look, just rub on some moisturiser. Don’t forget to use a concealer under your eyes or on any zits you may have. Use some brown kajal on the inner rim of the eyes to define them. Karisma is wearing a frosty pink lipstick with a liner of the same colour, which works with very pale skin. Blush on the apple of your cheeks is the only other thing you need.
3) Malaika Arora Khan
If you have combination skin like Malaika, use a tinted moisturiser and then blot your T-Zone (forehead, nose) with some translucent powder. If you have patchy skin and want to even it out without looking caked up, mix a drop of foundation with your moisturiser and apply it evenly over your face. A slightly tinted blush (in a creamy formulation) will look natural. Again, look for a color closest to your natural skin color in peach, pink or bronze. To define the eyes slightly, line them on the inside with a chocolate or black kajal pencil. Smudging it a bit with the help of a cotton bud also looks sexy. Malaika has lined her lips with a pencil that’s close to her lipcolour and filled the inside with gloss and blurred the edges.
