The sale sale everywhere is too tempting no..I went to Pantaloons recently and did some shopping..also got some stuff for everyone..my mom, dad, brother and bhabhi..just felt like gifting 🙂

I got three tops and a Baggit bag..

I love Baggit bags..more so for the quality..they stay in a perfect condition till the time you get bored using them 😀

I have a similar wallet too from this same jute range..

I loved this basic Bare Denim white tank with a striped cropped tee..it has a press button inside..and they both are actually separate..so I can pair them with my many different tops..

I liked this Rig grey- black tunic for it fits so snugly and is oh so soft to touch..

Another Rig, ombre effect plus lace plus net plus frills= girly 🙂

I had heard a lot of good things about ‘Twig’ and did they hold good for me..let’s find out..

Avon Ultra Color Riche come in a black and silver oblong curved packaging..its handy and light and I do like the packaging..only issue is you cannot find the shade easily if you have many of these..

Twig is a light rosy brown shade..kinda MLBB..this would be a perfect MLBB for someone between NC 37 and NC 42..works for me too..but just a little more on the brown side on me..though I do love it as an MLBB

It looks scary and wine like in the tube..but comes up as a light creamy rosy brown..

Its subtle enough to be worn everyday with anything and would even work with your formal wear or in office like Colorbar Bare..

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Decent packaging.
2. Twig is a nice rosy brown shade..which can be worn anywhere and an MLBB shade for many.
3. Often on offers like 2 for 319 etc which is a very good deal.
4. Stays for 2-3 hours without eating, etc
5. Creamy and moisturising and feels quite light on lips.

Cons:

1. Avon is available only through reps.
2. Difficult to find a shade if you have many coz of the same packaging.

Overall these are quite good lipsticks..with some good everyday wear shades like rosy browns and pinks..I have liked Rose Wine too and may get that next..

This was a part of the Cannes 2012 L’Or Electric Collection..

They all have different names in the US like this All Night Blue is called Midnight Blue, Endless Chocolate is called Continuous Cocoa, Purple Obsession is called Perpetual Purple, Permanent Khaki called Golden Sage and so on..

Some gorgeous shades like Smoldering Plum and Golden Emerald have not been introduced in India 🙁 I dunno why always the step motherly treatment..we also deserve all those pretty colors no..

This has a silver packaging..with a see through at at the bottom..and a lid on top..and a black inner lid for the hold..

The texture is quite different than normal eye shadows..its not powdery..but a little creamy sorts..and kinda crumbly..if you get it..its super pigmented..one swipe would give you the desired pigmentation and color..

All Night Blue is a deep midnight ink blue..a gorgeous shade..you can use it alone for midnight blue smokey eyes without the black..such deep shades do not even require black for the smokey effect..If you had seen and remember the IIFA awards recently, Parineeti Chopra had a similar blue dress and eye shadow..

In Sunlight

The color is bold for sure..and not something you can wear everyday..but the tip to use it in a wearable way is to use it as a liner..you can try and use Inglot Duraline too..or just normal water..coz these are made to be used both wet and dry..and stay on amazingly well both ways..

Pros:

1. Super pigmented..you get the desired pigmentation in a single swipe.
2. Stay on for a good 7-8 hours without primer too before they start to fade a little.
3. Works both wet and dry.
4. All Night Blue is a gorgeous midnight blue shade..which looks good as a liner too.
5. These are quite economical for the quality and 3.5 g would last quite long too !
6. Available in 10 shades

Cons:

1. Packaging is not so good..if the shadow falls even once..it would crumble up.
2. There is some fall out since these are not densely packed or satiny in texture..
3. Some amazing shades are not introduced in India..

Overall I do love this..All Night Blue is a gorgeous shade..and a perfect blue to have in stash if you do not have one..

What happened: It was a day of revelations as some of the most renowned names from the beauty and skin care industry took stage to disclose secrets of their success. The speaker sessions threw light on the latest advances and inventions across various facets of beauty like colour cosmetics, skin-care, haircare and beauty services for salons and spas, all leading to the end objective of helping these professionals create successful beauty businesses of their own.

The event began with Mr. Siddhartha Sengupta, Head of Performance Materials, Merck Limited [India] giving an introduction to Projecteffexx.com, which is a first-of-its-kind collaborative co-creation platform targeted at professionals from the world of Design, Spaces and Allure (beauty).Through this portal, Merck [India] intends to communicate the value, benefits, and the need for special effect pigments in people’s lives and businesses, along with serving as a knowledge resource for trends, technology, new design and innovation.

While Javed Habib revealed the secrets to building a successful beauty business, Dr. Soma Sarkar highlighted the must-haves in skincare for salons. Asha Hariharan, a doyenne of the beauty industry, threw light on the future of the beauty and skin-care industry to aid these professionals on the business aspect of their profession.


Sheela Iyer also addressed the audience on creating a unique brand label, while Bhupesh Dinger of Enrich shared insights on the importance of consistent delivery of service experience across chain salons.

The event ended on a glamorous note with celebrated make-up artists Cherag Bembboat and Marvie Ann Beck sharing some interesting makeup-secrets and showcasing the latest colour forecast for Spring/Summer 2012-13 from Merck through a live demonstration of select looks from the collection.
