Auravedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask Review

I reviewed the Auravedic Ritual Cleansing Ubtan mask before HERE..now I am reviewing the Ritual Skin Lightening mask..they both have almost the same ingredients..the former is in powder form and is to be mixed with milk or rose water whereas this is already in a thick paste form..

What the Company claims: This gentle facial mask formulated with pure natural actives deeply penetrates the skin to lighten the complexion and clarify dark spots for glowing and radiant skin.

MRP: Rs.200/- for 50g

Usage, Ingredients:

Sorry for the stains..its coz of the turmeric..

It comes in a similar tub packaging..only it has a separator in between..since it is a thick paste..it is very very thick and gooey..so much so that its difficult to spread at times..you need to use it on a moist face..

Though its brown in color has a deep yellow stain coz of turmeric..so your hands will stain..and face too for some time..and avoid its contact with clothes..has the same ayurvedic smell as in the cleansing ubtan..It does remove tan..and gives a fresh soft skin..and with frequent use, the spots too start fading..


Pros:

1. Since it is a little granular, it exfoliates and at the same time smoothens the skin tone.
2. Skin felt baby soft after using it !
3. The neem and haldi have antiseptic properties which helps acne prone skin too.
4. No parabens, SLS, preservatives. All natural stuff
5. All amazing ingredients together..its a pack full of skin goodness.
6. Removes tan and lightens spots after a few uses..

Cons:

1. Difficult to spread and use as too thick.
2. Needs to be kept 15-20 minutes.
3. Yellow stain is strong.
4. Availability is an issue..currently it is only available on NaturalMantra online and at Auravedic stores.

Its all natural and good for the skin. Only issue is more time required and a little difficult to use..but though the skin feels good with all the herbal infusion 😀 Though I like the Cleansing Ubtan Mask more..Recommend it..

There is one dress brides always concentrate on when getting married. The big one. Don’t let yourself forget the rest though, they are just as important!

One thing that I find is always talked about at weddings is the bridesmaids. Generally, you hear, “Don’t they look beautiful?” or “I love how they match the flowers!” but the one you want to hear is, “None of them are as pretty as the bride.” Sneaky as it may be, a good way to ensure you hear this is to thoroughly consider the dresses you want for them. Taking your colour scheme into account, something too bright will detract from yourself, as will something too short, too tight or too low cut.

In the past, the happiest bridesmaids I have known are those who have been able to keep their dresses for future use. Something like the vintage inspired Ivy dresses from Fever would tick all these boxes. They are graceful and flowing meaning eyes will gaze over them lightly and the ladies could easily wear them for another occasion in the future as the colours are all workable. A particular favourite of mine is the Ivy Dress Merlot.

You are probably wondering what other dresses I could possibly be talking about apart from your dress and the bridesmaid’s dresses. Well, if you have enough to spend and you haven’t gone too over budget, I’ve always thought that at this new starting point in your life, a partially new wardrobe would be a sweet little indulgent. I have W24 Honey Beige and that matches my skin tone quite well..its like second skin..you need just a pea sized amount for a nice even finish..and can build up for more coverage..it blends like a dream..super easy to use..and gives a nice dewy finish…how my skin loves this !

Pros:

1. Super easy to blend and use.
2. Nice fuss free packaging.
3. 60g would last long..you need just a pea sized amount.
4. Medium but buildable coverage..
5. Gives a nice dewy finish to the face
6. Settles like second skin !
7. No white cast even though has SPF 30.
8. Can skip a mosituriser when using this.
9. This is perfect for dry skin.
10. Stays well for 5-6 hours.

Cons:

1. Oily skin may need to use a powder..and touch up too after a few hours.
2. Not available here. You can buy it HERE though I think this is not the bright fit one..

Overall I so love this BB cream..the best ever I have used till date..a little better coverage than a tinted moisturiser with the benefits of the BB cream..lends a nice dewy glow to the face..and blends like second skin..I can easily replace any foundation with this ! Surely recommend !

When it comes to a night out, for most girls the planning and preparation is half of the fun. So how do you ensure you’re all ready for the perfect night out?

1) Shopping for a new outfit

A night out with the girls offers the perfect excuse to go shopping for a new outfit. Looking for a new party dress and shoe combo is loads of fun, especially hunting for the perfect accessorise to create a new look. Take your friends along for an honest opinion.

Times are tight, so if you haven’t got the cash for a new outfit don’t worry, customising an existing one will do the trick just as well and often all it takes is a new belt or necklace to give your old favourite some extra sparkle.

Top tip: If you really can’t afford to buy a new outfit, then get your friends round and organise an outfit swapping session. You’ll be amazed at what borrowing a different top or some great accessories can do to your look. Plus, it’s completely free!

2) Taking a nice relaxing soak

A hot bath or shower is essential before a big night out. Feel clean and fabulous with a toasty bubble bath to soothe your feet, after all you’ll be doing a lot of dancing later. Remember to shave and moisturise if you’re wearing a skirt or dress, there’s nothing worse than forgetting to do so and only remembering about it when you’re out! Sit back with a glass of bubbly and take some time to relax, it’s going to be a great night.

Top tip: To really relax, create a chilled out playlist and have it on whilst you’re in the bath. Pure bliss!

3) Going to a beauty parlour

For a big night out its essential to have the right hair, nails and eyebrows. Getting yourself primped and gorgeous is loads of fun, go with your girlfriends and catch up on the latest gossip, or simply take a magazine along and enjoy some uninterrupted you time.

Looking after yourself will improve your confidence and make you feel radiant. Every girl deserves a treat from time to time, so if you’re feeling the need for some pampering head down to your nearest beauty parlour and indulge! While you’re there, why not opt for an additional treatment such as a massage too?

4) Make up and fashion consultations

Invite your friends over to get ready. Not only can they help you picking out the right outfit, but you can share makeup and nail varnish, and have a catch up while you’re getting ready. You might even opt for a fancy dress theme night, if you’re short of ideas try Disney characters, superheroes, or celebrities!

It’s much easier to do someone else’s make-up than your own so try learning a new technique on your friend, if it goes wrong it’s easy to amend, just make sure you’ve got some face wipes!

Top tip: As well as getting friends to help out with your make-up you can also get them to do your nails. We all know how hard it is to paint them with the wrong hand, but get your friends to help and you can have ten perfect nails with no problems

5) Pre-party drinks and music

By now you should be feeling fabulous. Before you go remember to crack open the bubbly while you’re waiting for the taxi to arrive. Stick on some tunes and get dancing. If you’re feeling in the mood for some fun bring out the karaoke or guitar hero. This is a great time to plan the forthcoming evening with your friends and work out which bars and clubs you’re going to. Finally, arrange a place to meet if you get separated and give your mobile a final charge!

Top tip: Don’t drink too much while you’re getting ready – you don’t want to ruin your night out before it’s even started! Limit yourself to a glass or two, and head out able to enjoy your evening to the max!

What the Company claims: Milky Lips L209 – Toffee Beige

WHAT – A long-wear, fluid lipstick that provides highly-pigmented colour, and a glossy finish that lasts overtime. Superior comfort both in application and on the lips. HOW – Apply Milky Lips with the brush applicator first by painting the lips with just a small amount of lipstick, then fully load the applicator to fill inside of the lips. Ellis Lips comes in three textures: Creamy Lips (L101-109), Milky Lips (L201-209), and Glazed Lips (L301-309) and all have sheer to buildable coverage and are quite pigmented.

It comes in a classic Ellis Faas silver metallic pen packaging..with a brush applicator..the base needs to be twisted some 20-25 times for the first time for the product to come out..

The formula is sheerer and lighter compared to Creamy lips..but surely buildable as mentioned above..the glossiness fades and goes away within an hour and leaves behind a matte finish..and the color even settles into fine lines..

Just 1 swipe

Shade L209 Toffee Beige looks more brown on some..but on me its a nice peachy nude..an everyday shade and I am loving the shade..I am not into browns but I sure love my nudes !

Pros:

1. Nice packaging.
2. Easy to use.
3. Quite pigmented.
4. Buildable.
5. No animal testing or parabens.
6. Good everyday nude or MLBB shade for medium skin tones.

Cons:

1. Expensive !
2. Glossiness goes away within an hour and settles into fine lines..one needs very moisturised lips for this.
3. Difficult to locate products when all together :/
4. Availability issues.

Overall I love the shade and the fact that its quite pigmented and buildable. I do like the packaging..but as the outer body is same, gets confusing to locate..the texture and quality is sure amazing..would surely recommend..

In winter, it’s easy for hair to become dry and dull. With constant heat from indoor heating, hot showers, styling tools and blow dryers, these things can take a massive tool on your hair and leave it thirsting for a nice, long drink. Investing in a top-quality conditioner will help your hair to beat the winter blues. Look for a rich conditioner that contains natural oils such as sunflower or coconut oils. After washing your hair, instead of directly applying conditioner, towel dry your hair. Getting excess water out of your hair before applying conditioner is very important in order to allow your hair to fully drink in the benefits of the conditioner.

When applying conditioner to wet hair, the excess water can block the absorption of nutrients and moisturizers within the conditioner. Apply the conditioner in the shower (after towel-drying your hair) and leave on for two to three minutes before rinsing out. For a more intensive conditioning treatment, apply conditioner after you have stepped out of the shower and towel dried your hair. Leave the conditioner on for an hour or overnight. There are many excellent deep and overnight conditioners on the market.

Organic cold-pressed coconut oil always works as a wonderfully rich and emollient conditioner for the hair. It can be applied to dry ends overnight. You will wake up with moisturized, shiny hair. Other excellent oils for the hair include argan and jojoba oils.

To keep split ends at bay, it’s important to make an appointment with your hair stylist for regular trims. Going to the salon every six to eight weeks should keep split ends away. When split ends are left untouched, the hair shaft can actually keep splitting higher, which can result in very unhealthy and frizzy-looking hair.


Avoid using at home color, as they can strip your hair and contain metallic dyes. It’s best to leave coloring up to a professional who knows their way around color. Boxed color which can be bought at drugstores may seem tempting when you feel like you’re in a hair rut and need a quick change, but these products are best avoided because they can damage your hair and if you find yourself in a sticky situation where the color does not turn out the way you visualized, you probably won’t have a clue as to how to fix it. This can mean having to wait until your stylist can fit you into her schedules — so you may be left having to walk around with a disaster on your head for a few days.

Avoid the overuse of hair dryers, flat irons, and curling irons. Heat tools can take a toll on your hair and leave it damaged, dry and brittle. Heat tools should be used sparingly.

Try washing your hair every other day instead of every day. Washing your hair every day is not only a waste of product, but this will dry your hair out quicker than anything else.
