You all must be knowing by now about this new makeup app launched by Lakme during the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015.
Its called the ‘Lakme Makeup Pro’ and it lets you try all the products by Lakme in real time using your phone’s camera! Yes, be it skincare,makeup,everything.
Also, you can match foundation,powder and concealer shades, or try on a particular eyeshadow or lipstick on yourself or on a model.
You can use you phone’s front or back camera or select a picture from your facebook or image gallery. Don’t wish to experiment on yourself? Do it on a friend or pre-fed model’s images.

Steps:
1. Experience real-time feed with your front camera. Just turn on the app and it automatically detects your face. You can also try out the app on your friends by taking their pictures with the back camera
2.Pick and experiment with your favorite makeup products and pro stylist looks from the vast range available on the app.
3. Once you have found or created the perfect look, save it to your gallery and share with your friends on your social platforms.
4. Of all the products that you tried, buy your favourite ones right from your phone and have it delivered to your doorstep.
Coming back to my review, I tried the app on myself of course :p
Here I have tried the foundation and the concealer, the concealer looks a little yellow. So, the brightness of the pic, the phone,the camera are certain factors that we will need to keep in mind and that varies a lot on different images.
My phone is usually the brightest, so I had to tone down the intensity of colored makeup products. Also, the way you set your eyes and lips will not be 100% accurate, so do not be frightened if you look like a clown in between 😀 Just re-adjust the eyes and lips to as close as you can, and tone down the intensity of the blush,eyeshadows and lipsticks.
I tried the peach blush, eyeshadow and lipstick here..
You can try and check the ‘Before’ and ‘After’ which will come up half and half on your face,save it, share it. Check the list of products used and either take a note of shades or buy directly on the app.
There are a lot of new ‘Pro Stylist’ Looks and many of Shraddha Kapoor’s new looks from ABCD and a few of Kareena Kapoor’ s looks from new collection launches at LFW, so if you want need a particular shade which Kareena or Shraddha wore, just check the makeup breakdown, maybe try the particular shade on yourself and click ‘Buy’ and get it delivered at your home! Life was never that simple, right? 😀
I think this app is a must try, atleast you can experiment a lot of different looks and shades on yourself and check what shades look good on you.
