Keshavardhak Lepa (Nourishing Scalp-Tonic Pack)

What the Company claims: Revitalises the scalp bringing essential nutrition to the hair root. Restores its natural vigour and vitality.

Iraya’s Keshavardhak Lepa, an ancient ayurvedic recipe contains 11 powerful herbs for reversing premature hair loss. It is a powerful hair tonic compound that strengthens the hair root and stimulates micro- circulation in the scalp. Helps prevent and stop hairfall. The perfect care for thinning hair and for treating alopecia.

Usage: Form a thin paste by mixing it with water and/or some oil (for dry scalp). Part the hair and carefully apply to the entire scalp. For best results, cover your hair with a hot, wet towel and leave on for atleast an hour.

Note- After the first application, you may notice some hair fall, do not worry these are dead hair follicles that are eliminated as the first part of the treatment.

Ingredients: 11 powerful ayurvedic herbs including triphala, gokharu & maka

MRP: Rs.495/- for 50g

It comes in a cute wooden jar matki with a cap. And inside you have the powder in a plastic zip pouch.

Since the product is to be used on the entire scalp, the 50g pack would last 3 uses. You can either mix it with water or with oil. I have tried once with both. The hair and scalp feel a little drier when mixed with water, coz the water would evaporate quickly and you need to keep the mask for an hour.

With oil, hair won’t feel dry, but it would be a little difficult to wash off.

I used it alternate weeks i.e with one week gap in between. I did not notice any hair fall as such when I was using this, but could not notice any new hair growth too, in this short time and in just 3 uses.

Before- After

Though the herbs mentioned in the ingredients like triphala, gokharu, maka and a few others are the best to prevent hair loss and regenerate new hair. But, one needs to give it time and use it consistently to see results.

I think it should have been sold in a 100g pack and obviously at less a price than the double of 50g, to be economical and for one to see some good results.

Overall, I would say, definitely worth a try if you are suffering from hair loss.

Have you tried the Iraya Keshavardhak Lepa or any other ayurvedic preparation to fight against hair fall ? Did you notice results ?
