Maybelline Clear Glow BB Cream Review

The BB cream or the Bright Benefit cream is a revolutionary product that provides the benefits of a foundation, sun block and a moisturizer minus the problems of each! It gives you a brighter flawless look giving you the confidence to Go Nude, the way nature intended it. A dab of kajal and lip gloss or balm and you’re ready to go. Revolutionizing your skincare regime, this wonder product is an all-in-one revolution with 8 benefits to instantly brighten, even tone, hydrate, conceal, smooth, mattify, freshen and protect with SPF 21/ PA+++.

Called the 8-in-1 skin perfector – Just a minute of effortless application and you are set to turn heads !

Available in three easy blend shades perfect for the Indian skin tone, the BB Cream transforms your skin effortlessly, affordably and beautifully. Just the thing for the Girl on the go; contains healthy minerals for 8 in 1 skin benefits. The oil-free formula keeps skin hydrated for up to 24 hours and the SPF21/PA+++ protects the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. It covers like a foundation and hides flaws and imperfections without feeling heavy on the skin.

This instant skin perfecting cream comes in a compact, travel-friendly 18 ml squeeze tube and is available in 3 unique earth shades –  01 Nude (darkest), 02 Radiance (mid) and 03 Natural(lightest).

The thing to note here is..the shades are numbered opposite from dark to light..01 Nude being the darkest and 03 Natural being the lightest.

MRP: Rs.199/- for 18ml

There is another version called Maybelline Smooth Minerals BB Cream that is available in South Asia but not in India yet..

They do not claim this as Blemish Balm but as Bright Benefit Cream..its a very small tube..almost the size of your ring finger..The thing good about the Maybelline BB Cream is that it does not have a single shade being grayish or one that looks white and ashy..instead they have enough yellow undertones and quite match the Indian skin tones.

You need just a pea sized amount for the whole face..and you can blend it with fingers too. It has a small nozzle tip which dispenses just the right amount. It gives a little whitish cast coz it has SPF 21..but it goes away with a little blending..and it matches your actual skin tone in a few minutes.

It stays for a good 7-8 hours and gives a nice dewy finish..the coverage is similar to a Tinted Moisturiser..but its a little thicker comparatively. It has a nice fruity smell. If you have very dry skin..you may need a moisturiser beneath..for me it works as it is too..the T zone does get a little shiny after a few hours but a pressed powder would solve the problem.

Unblended

Blended

I have the shade 01 Nude which is the darkest..it does have quite enough yellow undertones to suit our skin tones..this is a little dark for me though..02 Radiance would have looked better. But this too adjusts to the actual skin tone in a few minutes.

Pros:

1. Perfect for everyday use.
2. Gives light to medium coverage..evens out the skin tone.
3. Has SPF 21 and offers PA+++ protection.
4. Gives a nice dewy finish.
5. Blends in a jiffy..and with fingers too..not much time needed.
6. Travel friendly tube.
7. Economically priced.
8. Available easily at all Maybelline counters.
9. Stays for a good 7-8 hours.

Cons:

1. It would have been better if the quantity was a little more..around 25ml.
2. The shades should have been numbered properly..its very confusing.

No other cons I could think of. I quite liked it..and the dewy finish it offers. So perfect for everyday.
